24.01.2022 During the 1950s my father worked in London with the former owner of this beautiful home - and now I'm lucky enough to have just listed it. Victoria Rd in Bellevue Hill holds many a beautiful home and Cliff Hall is no exception. A genuine 1916 treasure built on an elevated hilltop block with breathtaking views from the ocean to the harbour. This duplex has unique period details, such as exquisite relief ceilings and gorgeous woodwork throughout that give the property a genuin...e feeling of traditional quality. Click below for more details. https://www.domain.com.au/111-victoria-road-bellevue-hill-n I'm proud to be involved in selling this beautiful property In conjunction with Harriet France of Sotheby's International Realty. 22.01.2022 The Reserve Bank of Australia has kept the official cash rate at a historically low level of 0.25%. Mr Lowe said the RBA would not increase the cash rate until employment rates improved and inflation sits between the 2-3% target band.

22.01.2022 I was reading an article on realestate.com.au and saw that Rose Bay showed a 96% price growth over five years from 2014 to 2019. This growth saw the median house price go from $2,151,800 to $4,220,000. These numbers reinforce that this part of the East is going from strength to strength. If you're thinking about selling, you can rely on 27 years experience selling here in the East. 0425 25 25 25

21.01.2022 Last week I announced my new listing, The Fern in Alexandria. (Click here to see it http://bit.ly/TheFernAlexandria ) The Fern is the first Passivhaus apartment complex in Australia, and because of this, it has attracted a lot of attention from all sorts of people. Given it is a term that we've not used before everyone keeps asking me "what exactly is Passivhaus?" Hopefully, this video clears it up.... https://vimeo.com/74294955 If you're interested in one of the apartments, get in contact. 0425 25 25 25 See more

19.01.2022 Great day for open home with numbers in the double digits. It helps that it isnt raining!

19.01.2022 The team achieved a fantastic result at 96A Military Road, Dover Heights last week, selling under the hammer, with 5 registered bidders for $2,125,000!

18.01.2022 The resurgence of Australia's property market has continued into 2020 as the experts predicted. Across the country, home values have risen 6.7% since the bottom of the market in June last year. Locally there have been some fantastic spikes - Edgecliff saw a median price change of a staggering 35% over the last 12 months. Sellers have been slow to move as consumer confidence and demand came back on the boil. With spring just around the corner, it's a great time to act if you're thinking about selling, downsizing or capitalising on your investment property. I'd be more than happy to talk you through the recent spike in the market and how to make the most of it. Give me a call on 0425 25 25 25.

17.01.2022 We all hear about the property ladder all the time. It's not rocket science, start small, make improvements, make a dent in the mortgage, sell and then do it all over again with a better property. For many, the first step is the hardest. Here are some images from flats and apartments that have been part of the journey for so many people. From one-bedroom units to waterfront dream homes I've helped a lot of people get to the next step, so if you're looking to sell, then get in contact with me on 0425 25 25 25.

17.01.2022 Given we're all about to spend a few weeks at the beach I thought It was a great time to share this classic shot of Bondi. I'm not sure of the date, but given the taxi is an FB Holden I'm guessing 1960. Interestingly all of those buildings on the front are still there. If you think that Bondi's beach holiday lifestyle is for you, then you're looking at a median house price of $2.5M or $1.1M. Off the back of a push in property values over the last quarter of the year, a lot of experts calling that there could be a spike coming early next year. If you're thinking about downsizing or making the most of one of your investment properties, this looks like a perfect time to act. Give me a call on 0425 25 25 25

17.01.2022 Paddington has seen so many changes since the first land grants made in 1823. The suburb grew and flourished until WW1 then slid into decline for nearly 50 years. In the 1960s the residents' group The Paddington Society was formed and play a massive role in getting 400 acres of the suburb rezoned as the first conservation area in Australia. From there, young professionals could see value in classic terraces so close to the CBD, and the renovation and revitalisation of Paddington began. Flash forward to now, and the mean sale price of a house in Paddington is $2.1M. They've always been tightly held we suspect that demand will keep driving prices in the area. If you're thinking about selling, downsizing or making the most of one of your investment properties, this looks like a perfect time to act. Give me a call on 0425 25 25 25

17.01.2022 Its great to be Doing open homes again. I have ventured out to Lewisham for my good friend Penny to sell her three bedroom apartment

16.01.2022 The market has bounced back over spring, especially in the east. In the last week, we had yet another strong run with auction clearance rates hitting 77%, up from 67% last month. And in the previous four weeks, 88% of properties that passed in at auction went on to sell! What does this all mean? High demand and low supply make it a great time to sell. If you're thinking about selling, downsizing or shifting an investment property, get in contact with me, and I'll talk you through the best ways to move forward. 0425 25 25 25

16.01.2022 Spring was great for the property market; across the city in November alone, home values jumped by 2.7%. Most of the growth was at the higher end of the market and suburbs such as Bellevue Hill, Rose Bay, Vaucluse, Tamarama and Bondi all saw similar jumps. Auction clearance rates were just above 85% for the last two weeks - and the supply is still remarkably low. If you're thinking about downsizing or making the most of one of your investment properties, this looks like a perfect time to act. Give me a call on 0425 25 25 25

15.01.2022 Point Piper is the literally at the pointy end of the real estate spectrum. We all know about the houses, but we sometimes forget about the fantastic units across this beautiful section of the east. With a median price of $2.9m, you'll find some of the most expensive and luxurious units, and flats in the country. Perhaps the most exciting part for me is the incredible detail in these units. You'll find a mix of Art deco, nuevo, Spanish mission and 50's modernist buildings still with so many of the original finishes. If you're thinking of buying or selling, then lean on my 27 years experience in the East and get in contact. 0425 25 25 25

15.01.2022 Good weather and great property made open homes on Saturday fun with a great turnout. This one in Bellevue Hill was a standout.

15.01.2022 The team and I sold 16 Gurner Street, Paddington before auction for an incredible price. Please contact me for more information!

14.01.2022 With a median house price sitting around the $6M mark, it's hard to believe that early last century Tamarama was an amusement park. The legendary Wonderland City offered a roller-coaster, elephant rides, a seal pool and even an airship! Things have changed a lot, and in the last few months, quite a few Tamarama properties have sold for over $10 Million - and some of them were off-market! When demand is as strong as it is in a tightly held part of the East expect prices to k...eep going up. If you think it could be time to sell, then get in contact and benefit from my 27-year track record of taking the stress out of buying and selling real estate in Sydney's East. 14.01.2022 A lovely thank you note from Janice, vendor of 2/1-7 Gloucester Place, Kensington!

14.01.2022 I'm digging deep into my real estate superlative phrasebook to do this view justice. Let's just say when eating on the dining terrace; everyone will struggle to take their eyes off the 270-degree vista. The Pacific Ocean, from Bondi to Maroubra, is the backdrop to my latest listing - a luxury penthouse atop the aptly named 'Oceanview' on Macpherson Street in Bronte. This is genuine luxury living with an inviting sense of space and privacy in this three-bedroom plus study resi...dence. 13.01.2022 It's hard to imagine that 112 years ago Raine & Horne was involved in the sale of farm land in Rose Bay Heights - now called Dover Heights and Vaucluse. It's even harder to believe that the land was an ostrich farm! The neighbourhood is a very different place today - with median house prices in Vaucluse growing by a staggering 21.95% in the past year to $6.3Million. Low supply and high demand are driving this growth. If you're thinking about selling, you can rely on my 27 ye...ars experience selling here in the East. Call: 0425 25 25 25 See more

13.01.2022 Nielsen Park is such a local treasure. Like most people in the area, I can't imagine a summer without it. Once a part of the Wentworth Estate, the government took control of the area in 1910 when it became Vaucluse Park, not long after it was renamed Nielsen Park after The Hon. Niels Nielsen. The beaches, parks, trails and buildings are now heritage listed and are a centrepiece for one of my favourite parts of Sydney. If you're thinking about selling, downsizing or capitalising on your investment property, I'd be more than happy to talk you through the recent spike in the market and how to make the most of it. Give me a call on 0425 25 25 25

13.01.2022 People are still hunting homes despite the current traumas in Victoria. The press is constantly reporting strong activity and record sale prices, predominantly due to the shortage in supply. As Spring approaches, we may see this change but at the moment clearance rates on auction date or before are approaching 70% or better. For more of my thoughts, head over to my website to read my latest blog post - www.peterstarr.com.au/blog

12.01.2022 For some reason, people sometimes think of North Bondi as Bondi's lesser neighbour - but with a higher median house price ($2.7m) and considerably more growth in the last 12 months (5.8%), it looks like a suburb to keep an eye on. If you've always wanted to live there, and always wanted a place that you could fix up and make your own - then I've got what you're looking for. This is a rare opportunity, a proper blank canvas but - if you're not interested in renovation then DO ...NOT click here. https://www.homely.com.au//35-oakley-road-north-bo/6494621 If you're interested in this place or thinking about selling, give me a call. 12.01.2022 Have you ever thought about what makes Bronte so special? It is so close to Bondi, but so far away at the same time. I know this is a cliche - but it feels like a little beachside sanctuary that is tucked away in a gorgeous little valley. The median house price is up from its more famous neighbour and sits around the $3.2m mark - but there are a lot of absolutely beautiful houses in the area. Unit prices have a lower median price than Bondi, but there are some phenomenal exce...ptions. With summer close, it is time to wander down to Bronte for a swim and some sunshine. If you're thinking of selling over the next few months - give me a call. 0425 25 25 25 See more

11.01.2022 I was lucky enough to be mentioned in this article written by David Imrie. It's worth a quick read, but the take away quote I want to share is this: "So make sure you get to know and like and trust who you will actually be working with for your sale. In the luxury agency sector, and as prices keep rising, the gap is growing between peacocks and professionals. Choose wisely."... If you're thinking about selling, downsizing or capitalising on your investment property, I'd be more than happy to talk you through the recent spike in the market and how to make the most of it. 11.01.2022 New issue of Sitchu Living magazine out now! In our latest issue, we tour DIY-Queen Geneva Vanderzeil's Queensland home, filled with clever up-cycling designer details, spotlight the historic Sydney harbourside village of Balmain, and explore what buyers should know when investing in regional property.

09.01.2022 Camp Cove is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful beaches in Sydney - and a chance to own a home there is rare. This recent listing will start a new chapter for an old friend's childhood home. A freestanding home on 420m with dual access, only 1 minute to the sand in a tightly held area like this is something I think we all dream about. If you're interested or thinking about selling, give me a call. Peter - 0425 25 25 25

09.01.2022 There was a time when Watsons Bay was a sleepy fishing village on the edge of Sydney - and a time when Camp Cove was a beautiful beach on the outskirts of that sleepy village. This photo was taken in about 1880, by Henry King, and really shows how little development there is in the area. Skip forward a few hundred years, and Camp Cove is still a genuinely beautiful beach. It may seem a lot closer to the city these days, but I can assure you that on a quiet weekday morning, it... feels like a million miles from the hustle and bustle of Sydney's CBD. If you've always wanted to live there, it could be worth clicking here for what could only be called a rare and exceptional opportunity. https://www.homely.com.au//2-victoria-street-watso/6473585 If you're interested in this place or thinking about selling, give me a call. 02.01.2022 Sixty-five years after my father worked in London with the previous owner of this landmark property in Bellevue Hill, my great friend, and associate, Harriet France and I managed to get this one over the line for nearly $2m more than we were expecting. I'm proud to have been involved in this sale and see it as a sign that demand in areas such as Bellevue Hill is genuinely high.
