19.01.2022 The entries have kept on coming in and we now have 50 boats entered for this year. Thanks to the Port Phillip sailing community (and a few interstate entries too) for supporting the event together with our local boats. BYS is gearing up to welcome you all to our club. Sailing Instructions will be posted on the regatta website on Monday 18th December.... Happy sailing

18.01.2022 Well that's a wrap for the 2019 Petersville Regatta. We saw just about every wind strength from every angle which always adds to the challenge. Our visitors and BYS Members commented how spectacular the Sorrento Channel twilight race was and many thought it was the best race of the regatta. Congratulations to our race winners and trophy recipients.... And last but by no means least, a huge thanks to all the volunteers and BYS Staff who put in so much effort to make this regatta a success. See you all next year. Same dates, same club, more fun and fantastic sailing. Safe sailing until next time.

16.01.2022 Day three completed in bizarre, but typically unpredictable weather conditions. Mid summer and drizzling rain, racing postponed due to no wind but finally we got in a short race for the cruisers and another two races for the racing division. Unfortunately no wind and no visibility meant the planned twilight race down the Sorrento channel was abandoned. A couple of the boats have locked in their winning positions in the series but a few winners and most placings will come down to the final racing today.

14.01.2022 Well the regatta is underway with the first twilight race for all classes completed in perfect conditions. The post-race festivities were in fine form with the deck buzzing and great entertainment to boot. Next up, day 2 with a long course race scheduled for the cruising division in light conditions. The racing division will fire up with back to back races down in Capel Sound. Safe sailing everyone.

07.01.2022 Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron is proudly hosting the 2017 Petersville Regatta this year from the 27-30 December 2017. The regatta is open to all Keelboats and Sportsboats to enjoy some of the best racing the bay has to offer! It's a fantastic opportunity to explore the southern end of the bay or stay on from the ORCV Boxing Day Dash. Your entry includes complimentary berthing! Racing will be split into Racing and Cruising divisions offering something for everyone. Online Entry and the Notice of Race are now available at www.petersvilleregatta.com.au

05.01.2022 The regatta has wrapped up for another year. Thanks to all the 50 boats that joined us for a great event and congratulations to the winners. Thanks also to our principal sponsor Mornington BMW and our supporting sponsors Chirping Bird Wines, Doyle Sails and Musto who helped us give away $15,000 of prizes throughout the course of the regatta. A special shout out to the volunteers and staff at BYS who made it all run so smoothly and especially to our PRO Bill Bell and RO Gleny...s Hitchen. Keep your eye out here on Facebook or on the regatta website, the Petersville Regatta will be back again for the same dates later this year on December 27-30 2018.
