22.01.2022 The unfolding situation in Queensland has prompted the Greater Brisbane region to be declared a hotspot. Greater Brisbane will go into lockdown for three days, while contact tracers work to ensure the UK strain of COVID-19 is not circulating in the community. As a result, from midnight tonight, people arriving who have been in the Greater Brisbane region will be required to quarantine for 14 days.... Furthermore, anyone in South Australia who has been in the Greater Brisbane region since 2 January will be required to get a COVID-19 test immediately and again in 5 days. Travel to and from Queensland should be reconsidered as further restrictions may be imposed at short notice. We know the UK strain is particularly virulent and we need to act fast to protect the health and safety of South Australians.

14.01.2022 We know border restrictions are difficult for families and businesses and that’s why we never leave restrictions in place one day longer than we need to. From 12.01 am on Sunday 17th January, people coming into South Australia from Greater Brisbane will no longer be required to quarantine. For people arriving from Greater Brisbane before 12.01 am on Wednesday 20th January, a COVID-19 test will still be required on days 1, 5 and 12. This requirement will be removed for peopl...e who arrive on or after 12.01 am on Wednesday 20th January. If you are currently in quarantine because you came to South Australia from Greater Brisbane on or after the 9th January, you will be able to come out. This means, from Sunday, South Australia will be completely open to Queensland once again. Thank you to everyone who has worked with us as we follow the expert health advice and keep South Australia safe and strong.

04.01.2022 Great news indeed. An additional $1 million for regional events.

02.01.2022 Well done to the Adelaide Film Festival and Lincoln Cinema for bringing an international film festival to Port Lincoln. A great experience for many enthusiastic locals.
