This exhibition pairs 19th century western depictions of Indigenous Australians alongside contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, revealing the ways in which Indigenous artists today challenge and subvert white artists’ portrayals of their history and culture. Michael Reid is one of Australia's most respected art dealers, commentators and advisors.
