09.01.2022 We may have been a bit quiet on F/B over the last 2 months but we certainly haven’t been idle. The team at CLASS have continued to achieve excellent results for our sellers since the start of the pandemic. We didn’t want to make any statements about the property market that we couldn’t back up until we started to get a feel for what’s been happening. The Brisbane property market is generally one of the most resilient in Australia whenever we experience economic headwinds. So... it’s reassuring to know that sale prices in our beautiful city, once again appear to be holding up. This is backed up from research this week by CoreLogic for May showing an average change of -0.1% which suggests a balanced market with the right number of both buyers & sellers maintaining current prices. It is also backed up by our sales over the last 2 months including our most recent sale at 25 Albert St, Camp Hill on 30th May. An independent valuation was done pre-Covid on 4th March prior to selling and the property sold at that valuation figure just last week with over 20 buyers through over 2 weeks. Now that we seem to be coming out the other side in pretty good shape compared to other countries there will most likely be an increase in the number of properties coming on the market plus an increase in buyers becoming more active - meaning the market should remain steady.
