22.01.2022 Makeup lessons - swim schools have vastly different policies on missed lessons. Some simply offer no makeup lessons. Some if you provide a medical certificate. Others give you 1 or 2 a term. We think our policy is the best in the industry - since launching our website in 2016 we have delivered around 3300 makeup lessons. At $22.50 a lesson that's almost $75,000 we've saved our customers in missed lessons. Our policy is: unlimited makeup lessons for any reason, makeup credits never expire, you can use makeup credits at levels 5 and 6 to do holiday intensive programs, you can even use them after you cease enrolment, and now you can also swap your makeup credits among your children. See the attached video on how to book a makeup lesson in 20 seconds https://youtu.be/3bzL73i3Bws

19.01.2022 We are SO excited to report I won the NSW Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety award but...amazingly also the National award. Thanks to all my clients and AUSTSWIM. See you all soon!

17.01.2022 turns out it's not the Queen's birthday public holiday, it's Labour day! "Labour Day commemorates the achievements of the Australian labour movement. The celebration of Labour Day has its origins in the eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest." Block 4 starts tomorrow!

12.01.2022 Thanks to all visitors for following the new procedures to maintain social distance, increase hand hygiene and sanitize touchable surfaces. It's great to be back!

11.01.2022 The unofficial word is NSW swim schools can reopen soon without being required to maintain social distance in the water. Sounds like we're back! Once I sort my exact re-opening date I will be in contact with swim school families

07.01.2022 A Queanbeyan swimming teacher has been nationally recognised for his efforts to keep local kids safe in and around water. The unconventional mentor's lessons a...re a little out of the ordinary - all done within the safety, of his backyard pool. 07.01.2022 Thanks to my wonderful customers that provided close to 100 individual references, I am a chance of winning NSW Swimming Teacher of the year. Very excited for the awards night on 26 Nov. What a boost that would be for my little business. Fingers crossed!

03.01.2022 After a meeting of NSW swim schools today, I am aiming for a June 29 restart (edit: now 6 July) at the home pool. Unsure yet about advanced classes from Queanbeyan pool. I will directly contact families very soon once I work through how to ensure compliance with NSW health orders.

01.01.2022 I'm excited to be shortlisted for this industry award which is announced tomorrow. All thanks to my clients that provided close to 100 personal references to support the nomination. To celebrate getting to the 'finals' I'm going to give away 25 pairs of kids goggles. Anyone can enter you don't have to currently attend here. To go in the draw simply write some words of encouragement. If I win then I'll double it to 50 pairs of goggles and also 10 private 1:1 swimming lessons.

01.01.2022 Our expansion is in the works! We have booked a meeting with council in Jan to discuss our plans. And I mean actual plans drawn up by an architect to redevelop a building in the heart of Queanbeyan. For more info and to register your interest for a priority booking, see the website: https://swimstart.com.au/RegisterInterest.aspx
