22.01.2022 Painting of the West Moreton Landcare Group's container has begun.

22.01.2022 The cement path is now going in between Patrick and James Street in Lowood. A & M Civil have been great with not trying to damage any plants. Having this done is going to allow so many more people to enjoy our beautiful Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.

17.01.2022 Hi Everyone Just thought I'd brighten our rainy day by sharing a couple of pictures I took on a day trip made to The Rail Trail @ Lowood.. (If allowed..?)... This was one of the stunning Grevillia "Flamingo" I found growing along the part of the trail maintained by Pete from Pete's Hobby Nursery My advice.. ? Well worth a day trip out to see the awesome variety of Aussie Natives along this section of the trail, and plenty of peaceful spots amongst them for a picnic lunch..

13.01.2022 This area is being planted specially to support local wildlife. Much to his dislike, today we snapped a picture of our site supervisor who randomly pops in for a day or two to check on the plant selection. While he is great to work for and never complains, we have at times caught him out looking generally disinterested and sleeping on the job.

12.01.2022 Gossipium flower. Many people don't realise how many beautiful native flowering plants we have in this country. You can help support wildlife by planting more natives. Pete's Hobby Nursery has a variety of flowering natives to suit all different soil conditions. Success with growing natives usually happens when you... -Choose plants that suit your area/soil type. -Use correct nutrients. Don't overload phosphorus sensitive plants. -Use correct planting techniques. See more

01.01.2022 Congratulations to all the winners this year. We have taken out the best Native garden. Thanks to all of our volunteers that made the gardens what they are today.
