24.01.2022 Hi Everyone First of all I would like to thank every single one of you for your loyalty during this strange COVID-19 times. As we are approaching the next step in the government’s plan to remove restrictions, I have been looking at what that means for Pet Etiquette and your furry family member. According to the plan mobile pet grooming is NOT permitted during the second step. It states ...... pet grooming: retail pet groomers permitted where contactless service can be provided to clients (mobile closed) I know the industry is questioning about home based / mobile grooming should be allowed but it appears that I can't open until October 27th at the earliest. I was hoping to open on September 28th and as of today that seems to be unlikely to occur. So please don’t hesitate to get your dog groomed by someone else as you wait for me to recommence grooming. Please look after yourself and your pets. Once I reopen (whenever that will be I don’t know as things change all the time), I will contact you to see if you need a booking or not. 22.01.2022 Tuesday the 29th of September Daniel Andrews clarified dog grooming is not to occur from home .... so I am still closed until the third step ... hopefully the numbers continue to drop and I can return to work ASAP. Thanks again for your support and loyalty during this crazy time.

14.01.2022 So there was an announcement today and I am still unclear DHHS website ... "pet grooming: retail pet groomers permitted where contactless service can be provided to clients (mobile closed)"... News sites are saying pet grooming is open "Sole traders doing outside gardening or landscaping can also return, as can pet grooming." Called the Hotline asked 1 - Can I open ... I offer a contactless service where I travel to my customers place and groom their dog there and then all by myself in a trailer specifically designed for grooming 2 - Can I operate from home using my trailer which is entirely separate from my home? and they said they have escalated the enquiry to get clarification but they are not sure So I am not clear ... I do know I can’t afford the fines if I operate illegally I do know that it’s getting harder to be in lockdown for so long ... I am struggling just like all other business owners I want us all to be safe and therefore I will need to wait a bit longer and try again tomorrow to see if there is any chance of opening this week.
