Here at Petit - Kew book areas are set up in all our studios for the children to read as well as the educators reading to them throughout the day and during grouptimes.. Lanuage and lieteracy is a huge part of our program.

16.01.2022 Petit Kew would like to welcome back two of our Resident Rabbits!! We had these little girls as part of our rabbit rearing program and now they are all grown up and ready to come and live with us. They are 10 weeks old and thriving!! They will be living on level 1 in their newly refurbished house and the children will be able to see them daily. Don’t worry though the children in Baby Boulevard and Burrows Lane won’t miss out and they will be able to have special visits from the bunnies daily too. Having access to the Rabbits will benefit all the children in the centre as they will be able firstly develop their knowledge of the bunnies whilst learning how to take responsibility and show respect for living things (Early Year Learning Framework- Outcome 2: Children connected with and contribute to their world).

07.01.2022 Our Baby Boulevard children have been exploring different types of sensory activities within their studio with the rattles, blocks, jungle area and musical zone outdoors.

05.01.2022 We would like to wish our extended Kew community a Happy Chinese New Year!! For those of you who don’t know- Chinese New Year has begun and is the year of the Pig. At Kew Petit we are exploring this with all of the children from providing them with pasting experiences, to latern making and even drawing for the older children. These experiences overall promoting and developing the children’s creativity skills; whilst allowing every child to explore the diversity of culture,he...ritage, background and traditions (Early Years Learning Framework- EYLF Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world). Furthermore we have also been exploring the meaning of this festival with the children, enlightening them that this is an important festival that honours Chinese ancestors and traditions which bring everyone together. These traditions bring good luck, good fortune, wealth, prosperity and happiness. See more

01.01.2022 Celebrating Early Childhood Educators Day What a privilege I have today to be able to celebrate the amazing team that build into the lives of your little people! For Early Childhood Educators Day today we celebrated our educators with what speaks to them most- Food and pamper spoils!... We hosted a colourful confetti themed morning tea which included freshly made pancakes with all essential and fun toppings, along with a beautiful and inviting fruit platter with café style coffees. For a more personal touch, each educator was gifted with a full sized luxury hand and nail cream, and a personalised note of thanks and appreciation from myself. All of our educators also received a Petit Educator appreciation award for marking and remembering the day. Our educators were surprised and taken back by the personal touches and one educator was overwhelmed with a few tears. What a pleasure I have in my role to be able to build my educators up and personally thank each one for their contribution to the lives of the children in our care!
