25.01.2022 This morning our Haven Place studio enjoyed a picnic by the lake, followed on a walk to where our Treasure Cove studio engages in their weekly Bush Kindy program. 24.01.2022 Our Treasure Cove Educators Doug and Sarah have been further developing their professional knowledge by attending an ‘Introduction to Fire and Bush Cooking Workshop’ through Wildlings Forest School. They learnt a variety of ways to teach and inspire children through the safe use of fire and explored fire and fire safety tools that could be incorporated into our Bush Kindy program. Other take aways included: Embedding indigenous perspectives through fire including traditional oral indigenous fire stories and the traditional uses of fire; and embedding sustainability through fire.

23.01.2022 The children in Treasure Cove have recently been expressing interest in cooking activities, we have been encouraging parent involvement by inviting parents into the studio to share their favourite cooking experiences from home. A big thank you to Brittany and Renita for this mornings cooking experience- the children loved it!

Sfenj is a fritter like doughnut made from sticky, unsweetened leavened dough....
