25.01.2022 Looks like 3 more weeks until we can open, 19th Oct. The industry is still fighting to open sooner so I still won't start making bookings until Oct 12.

24.01.2022 From my understanding so far if you live more than 5km from my salon you will be unable to attend for grooming. In saying that I have a strong feeling we will be closed by Wednesday. Please stay tuned for further updates and stay safe.

23.01.2022 Now we can open from the 28th of September but with restrictions. You will still need to be within your 5km bubble, until the 26th of October. If you are not within 5km but your dog desperately needs to get groomed let me know so I can recommend a groomer if I can. Stay tuned for more information.

23.01.2022 We are opening tomorrow but I need to go into day surgery on Thursday 29th as part of my cancer treatment. Sandy will still be able to groom on the 29th and 30th. And I should be back in some capacity after Cup Day. We will try to fit as many as possible before the 29th.

20.01.2022 There are still many issues not defined, so I will be holding off calling to rebook until Monday 21st September. Please be patient, I will be able to fit most of you in within the first two weeks back with the help of Sandy. (If my body holds out). There is a push to extend the bubble to 10km or non existing for animal welfare, there is also the possibility that step 2 may be postponed or brought forward. So I will give it another week before establishing bookings from Mon 28th September. Thank you for your support and patience.

19.01.2022 The pet groomers of Victoria and even some interstate groomers have joined forces in several support groups, not only to support each other mentally and emotionally but as a group have been very vocal towards government. Unfortunately, even when we are finally heard there are not many answers forthcoming. 11 days to go and there is still a chance we may not be able to open. A big thank you to all my fellow groomers who are supporting each other.

16.01.2022 This is a message to all Pet Perfection clients booked for the weeks ahead. As of today, we will now be closed for all normal bookings. We are following the Vets and Dentist and will remain open only for emergency grooming. As it will only be myself doing these grooms for the protection of my mum (and dad) and Sandy there will be strict precautions put in place so all emergency appointments will need to be booked by phone for details and to decide what will need to be done. I... will be checking phone messages once a day. I do not want any of our pets to be in pain or discomfort, I also understand many of our clients may find it more difficult to groom their dogs themselves so please don’t hesitate to give me call with any questions and how I might be able to help. 13.01.2022 Two weeks to go! The entrance is just about ready, just waiting for the perspex screen. Tip of the day. If your dogs fringe is getting long and you don't want to cut it, tie it up in a loose ponytail. Just make sure your dog can close their eyes.

Please call to arrange a different time if you have any symptoms of illness, use the sanitiser at the entrance before entering and stay behind the barrier. If reception is unattended please be patient as we will be with you once the dog in our care is safely accommodated. Please stay safe and we will update you via text if anything changes.

10.01.2022 I hope this finds you all well and you are all getting some exercise with you pets, just like we are with Casper. I have had a few calls with questions so I thought I would answer some here. Fingers crossed Level 3 restrictions and State of Emergency are lifted soon or at least eased a bit. Groomers are allowed to be open, but driving to your groomer is NOT considered essential travel, there is a chance you could get a fine. If you really need to visit and get your dog groome...d please call to discuss it with me. 1. Human shampoo has a different pH to dog shampoo so please try to use dog shampoo when washing your dog at home. 2. Most human hairdryer are too hot to use on a dog please only use if you have a cool setting. Better still just wrap your dog up in some towels and use their own body heat to start the drying process. 3. If you find a few knots you can not brush our. Place your fingers between the skin and the knot and cut it out. Hair grows back. If the knot is close to the skin and you can not get your fingers under it, please don't use scissors. Call me. 09.01.2022 Just had confirmation that at this time home-based salons can NOT open on the 28th of September only groomers in a retail premises. This may change. "Sigh". Please be patient and call and leave a message if you need some grooming advice. Fingers crossed this changes before the 28th of September.

02.01.2022 Bow and neck ties are ready, but looks like we can not open until October 26th, if there is a confirmed change i will let you know. PIAA is trying to get us re classified as essential, fingers crossed we can groom again sooner than that. If you need urgent care for your dog please contact your vet. If you dog is knotty and has to go short when we can finally groom them, it will grow back. Please look after yourselves and hang in there a little longer.
