24.01.2022 A good read about being sensitive to your dogs individual needs!

24.01.2022 When you give your dog what they need, they usually give you what you need. Time to think beyond obedience!

22.01.2022 Of course most of us already know this intuitively - our relationship with our beloved dogs is all about heart and not just food!

21.01.2022 Good article about the influences of genes and environment on dog behaviour!

20.01.2022 This says it all! Mutual respect at either end of the leash!

20.01.2022 A great article! Let your dog choose!

18.01.2022 Do you have a dog like this?

17.01.2022 Great article on the need for a shift away from a purely behavioural approach to training, instead looking at the emotions driving particular behaviours. Your dog is not giving you a hard time through expressing anxiety, reactivity or aggression- they are having a hard time!

16.01.2022 The relationship is everything. I am a photographer as well as a rewards based trainer. This is my dog Phoenix Rising, a Belgian Shepherd. Follow wolf shadow photography if you want to see more.

13.01.2022 Interesting read...what do you think?

12.01.2022 Would you like to have your dog come running to your call like you were the only thing that mattered? A dog that happily and reliably answers your call? Get in touch and I can show you how! This is Bella, the Aussie Shepherd, demonstrating how it is done.

10.01.2022 This is Boo, my Tervuren, from about a year ago. My dogs and the clients I work with, are encouraged to value and highly reward when a dog makes good choices in terms of behaviour. Isnt it better having your dog choose rather than always asking for behaviour? Get in touch if you want to know more!

09.01.2022 A wonderful animation on the power of a dogs nose!

07.01.2022 Hello. I am Boo. Yesterday Mummy took me to the vet for my monthly injection for Addisons Disease. Some of you know that I was previously terribly afraid at the vet and wouldnt go into a consulting room - because of all the yucky blood tests when I was very young). Slowly, slowly, I have been getting more confidant through Mummys help (lots of visits without procedures, just a ton of treats), until the visits and the jab were safe and predictable for me. I love my new vet ...now and happily follow her anywhere! When she had the needle ready I promptly sat for her, but she kept talking to Mummy and ignored me, so I gave her a gentle pat with my paw to say Im ready. Everyone laughed! For the first time EVER while I was sitting, I continued to take treats when she jabbed me. Ha! Then I got more treats. She checked out one of my ears and even put a swab down and I took it all in my stride! Mummy said it made her day. See more

06.01.2022 A great article explaining the meaning of a hard stare!

06.01.2022 Does your dog struggle at the vet? I did the following things to help my young Addisons dog cope better and make it fun!

06.01.2022 A good short read to help you understand why your dog doesnt listen to you!

04.01.2022 Yes. The relationship is everything.

03.01.2022 If your dog has fear aggression suppressing her or his behaviour will not change their mind about what they fear. Behaviour modification is the way to go!

02.01.2022 Dogs - role models for a happy life!

02.01.2022 Dogs enjoy having choice and solving problems too!

02.01.2022 Spot on! Safety first, for all dogs. Environment enrichment, then assess dog and owners needs.

01.01.2022 I am not surprised by this - but love all the new research that is coming out about our beloved 4-legged friends!

01.01.2022 There are many great reasons to use a muzzle!
