IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - LIVE MUSIC HAS BEEN BANNED Today, the Victorian Commission for Gambling & Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) has released guidelines advising live music is no longer allowed to take place in venues. ... The blows keep coming for our hospitality, music and arts industries. Since re-opening, and during Lockdown 1.0 venues have been able to have live music as long as all other guidelines are still adhered to (I.e patrons must remain seated in venues). With hospitality slowly opening, many venues have begun trying to provide entertainment to their local communities and support to the hard hit music industry. Other venues have the soul purpose of providing entertainment whether it be in the form of a guitarist, a pianist or a singer. They will now need to close until this restriction is lifted. There has been no reasoning given for this decision, but venues as of today have been forced to cancel all entertainment. One of the states biggest economic packages for the hospitality sector was in the form of live music grants so why ban live music? A special thank you to those who hav...e taken the opportunity to support the Love of your Local campaign. It goes a long way to helping us manage the period of closure. The Big news is we are re-opening the doors on Monday 1st June, albeit in a limited and restricted capacity. Here’s what you need to know: The Hotel can open for meals. Alcohol may be purchased with a meal (a meal is defined as more than a snack) Alcohol must not be served without food. Alcohol only service is not allowed Meals and drinks will be served to the table.
