25.01.2022 How much water are you wasting from your leaking tap? My guess? Heaps! It might not seem like much when you see only a few small drips coming out of your tap, but when you add it all up after weeks (or even months), it becomes a considerable amount! Let’s put it into perspective. Imagine you have a tap leaking 10 drips per minute. After a day it will add up to 14,400 drips (equivalent to about 3 litres), after a week it will be 21 litres and after a month 90 litres (whoah)... Depending on how fast the water is dripping, in some cases, you could lose up to 20,000 litres of water in one year - that’s the size of a small pool! Water is a precious resource and I certainly don’t want to see you spending unnecessary money on your water bill Get in touch if you have any questions about your leaking tap. I'd be happy to help. Know where all the main stop taps are located on your property whether you have purchased a new home or still in your existing one, its important to know where your stop tap is. This is the first place to go in an emergency such as a burst pipe and your insurance company will love you for it! 2. Avoid dumping rubbish down the drain! As a person who values your own home, you should never dump bacon grease, food debris, ground cof...fee beans or rice down your drain, it will clog up over time and you will have to call us for something that is avoidable 3. Regularly check for leaks look under your sinks for signs of moisture, such as puddles of water, water marks, a musty smell and mould growth. 16.01.2022 The gentle sound of rain falling on your roof is one of the most relaxing sounds until that blocked gutter starts banging and clanging The most common cause of blocked gutters is leaf debris, dirt and silt build-up. Together they clog up your gutters and can cause leakage into your ceiling cavity and water damage inside your home. Grab a sturdy ladder (and a mate to help hold!) and clear your gutters of any debris (this also makes great garden veggie mulch).
