23.01.2022 CLINICS CANCELLED, PLEASE READ. Pets In The Park commitment is to provide the best level of care we possibly can to the beloved pets of our homeless community. Following current Department of Health guidance, and after careful consideration, we’ve decided to suspend all Pets In The Park clinics Australia wide, effective immediately, until further notice. The health and wellbeing of our volunteers, clients and patients are at the forefront of everything we do, and with the o...utbreak of COVID-19, we can no longer guarantee the safety of our volunteers and clients. IMPORTANT COVIDSAFE INFORMATION: Clients are please required to:... - adhere to physical distancing; - use hand sanitiser as soon as they arrive; - attend as one person per family where possible; - register at the PITP desk with their contact details (as per normal): - not attend the clinic if feeling unwell; have been in contact with a COVID 19 positive case; are currently required to be in self-isolation or quarantine; have travelled overseas or interstate within the last 2 weeks. As normal, you’ll need to bring a referral from your case worker if this is your first time attending the clinic. Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday. Stay safe and see you then!

09.01.2022 T H A N K Y O U ! Well it was a hot one... but thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all our wonderful Volunteers who helped make our last clinic for 2020 so much fun. It has been such a difficult year for so many of our clients and it was great to see them back this month with their gorgeous pets in tow. ... Vaccinations given, Christmas cake (COVID safely) shared, gifts handed out and lots of pats and cuddles had. A Sunday very well spent!

03.01.2022 DECEMBER CLINIC ANNOUNCEMENT. We are back! We have managed to get a COVID Safe plan in place, and at this stage, we have all hands on deck getting ready to see our beloved clients and patients next month. When: Sunday, 6th December 2020 Time: 11.30am to 1.30pm ... Where: Salvos Streetlevel, 97 School St, Spring Hill Important: if this is your first time attending a clinic, you MUST bring a referral letter from your caseworker. If you don’t currently have a caseworker, see one prior to the visit. Organisations that can help you with that include: Salvation Army, Micah Project, Wesley Mission and Mission Australia. 02.01.2022 ? ! We have a volunteer opportunity for 2 (two) Admin Coordinators to join our Brisbane team. We are a national not-for-profit offering veterinary care to pets of people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and we run monthly clinics on the first Sunday of each month, from 11.30am to 1.30pm at 97 School St, Spring Hill. Clients must provide a referral every 6 months to receive veterinary treatm...ent. : - Work with the Clinic Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of the clinic. - Overseeing the team of volunteers at clinics alongside the Clinic Coordinator. - Checking referrals. - Checking in clients. - Organising records. - Completing the end of clinic stat sheets. - Ensuring all veterinary paperwork is complete (Microchip forms, surgery consents etc.) : - Available to attend 7-8 clinics per year, on the first Sunday of the month, from 11.00am to no later than 2.00pm. You’ll work on a rotating (flexible) roster with a total of 3 Admin Coordinators (2 present at each clinic). - Available to attend 1-2 hours quarterly meetings. - Organised, efficient, communicate well and able to lead a team. - Have some veterinary experience. You will not perform any Vet/Vet Nurse duties, but you need to be able to understand veterinary and medical terms, read medical/veterinary shorthand and know how to complete veterinary paperwork.
