22.01.2022 Some special puppy photos to make you smile. These gorgeous Labrador puppies visited us recently to start their vaccinations and I think you will all agree just how beautiful they are! These very special photos were taken by one of our newest team members. Barbara has joined us as she embarks on the final leg of her training to become a cert IV qualified nurse. We are so happy to have you as part of our team

21.01.2022 This beautiful girl came to us for her desexing recently and took it all in her stride. As you see Thandi was all snug with her cuddly toy for moral support during her recovery. Such a brave girl! Rest assured we care for your pets like they are our own and ensure they are surrounded by so much love and support during their stay in hospital as we all know it can sometimes be a little scary being in a new place.

02.01.2022 Two weeks ago we discharged this handsome boy. Rambles is a curly coated retriever and presented to us for lameness in his left front leg. With some radiographs we found that Rambles had severe pathology of his bone within his humerus (near his shoulder joint). Whilst a biopsy could not confirm a diagnosis, we were incredibly suspicious of bone cancer . With progressive deterioration in his pain levels and increasing changes to his bone, Rambles' owners made a decision toge...ther with us that we would amputate his leg. Amputation is not an easy conclusion to come to but in Rambles case he had no current signs of cancer anywhere else and this was the only way to take away his bone pain. Rambles underwent an entire forelimb amputation with Dr Olivia and Dr Jen and involved the removal of his shoulder blade too. A few hours later and our boy was waking up well. With such a huge surgery it was extremely important to control his pain level and this was managed with a triple combination intravenous infusion. Over the coming days Rambles went from strength to strength and it was truly inspiring to see him head home with his family. He returned today for his sutures to be removed and he is motoring along!! We could not be prouder of him and his family for being with him every step of the way. What does the future hold? Honestly, we don't know but for now we have succeeded in our mission to provide comfort, quality of life and above all a happy happy boy who can enjoy every bit of his wonderful life with his family. We love you Rambles! #petslifevet #loveourpatients ps. check out Ramble's video in the comments! One happy dude!!
