07.01.2022 Today is World Reptile Awareness Day To celebrate, we're shining some light on reptile enrichment - more specifically our scaly, snake friends. Zoos Victoria is constantly levelling up their snake enclosures, like their creation of a Snake Exploratorium! It reduces handling, and provides much needed mental enrichment.... Want to try something similar at home? Here's some quick tips on keeping your snake's house fun and enriching: Change up their decor every now and then, to create a whole new den to explore. Add in a new small branch with leaves where your snake can spend hours 'tasting' the new smells. Change your snake's substrate. New bedding carries new scents that will send your snake exploring. There's lots you can do - and none of it needs to be complex. All hail our slithery friends. Zoos Victoria

04.01.2022 Oh hi! It's Tai Our PETstock Assist sponsored Assistance Dog with Assistance Dogs Australia. He recently visited our Engadine store on a field trip with his trainer and we got an update! Tai has now completed his initial induction at the National Training School and is now onto his Advanced Training. Tai's report card says he's very smart, affectionate and cuddly - but he does get a little distracted when he sees other dogs and birds ... Tai has a kennel buddy called Monty (his brother) and he share's an outdoor patio with Cooper and Minaaka. When it comes to training, Tai is currently working on skills such as 'switch' (pushing the crosswalk button) and 'pivot' (develops his rear-end awareness and is helpful for aligning with his handler). A few words from Tai's trainer: "Tai is a focused dog who loves to train. He is working so hard on learning all of his advanced skills like tip and tug. The skills he loves the most are the emotional support skills. He especially enjoys 'lap' where he applies pressure to the handler by laying over their lap - he loves getting cuddles in this position!" We look forward to providing more updates on Tai
