Things a little different in Melbourne with a handful of punters cashing in their best bet early to start the day. 20.01.2022 In what was certainly the hardest day of racing this Spring we've crowned another 1st time winner. This time its Chris Bomber Hayes. He had a day to remember picking up a result in 8 out of the 9 races, ironically it was his best bet that didn't feature in the placings. The place card has Jackpotted to $250 now with noone getting close. Guyza the last man standing at Race 4. The weather wasn't great at Flemington and it certainly isn't any good for cooking in the kitchen. Lucky our Takeaway Meals are running tonight. Call the pub after 4pm to order yours. 52291151!!

Peter Kelly lead all other punters this week but with a tough card at Ballarat all he could manage was 9 points meaning that the Points Race Jackpots to $40 next week. 15.01.2022 Iso Punting Week 5 Results An indifferent day of Punting yesterday seen Frank F pick up his 2nd win during this Isolation Period. Deserving the win with 6 winners for the day Frank finished on 24 points ahead of last weeks winner Phil. The Place Card was one of the most random events yesterday. Race 1 knocked out all bar 2 tipsters, Race 2 then knocked out Sean, leaving just Greg Wells standing, he continued on all the way til the last race where his horse finished 4th.... With the punting done for another week it's time for all the Dads to put their feet up, watch the footy and enjoy a day off. You can even buy them a Parmi or a Roast from our Takeaway Menu tonight... His best bet of the day in Race 3 saved him as Frank Franzese was hot on his heels with 19 points. 05.01.2022 Hi All, By now you would have heard about the Regional easing of restrictions from Thursday 17, September. A BIG thank you goes out to those who supported us through the closure with their kind thoughts and the purchase of take away meals.... This re-opening was unexpected, although smaller numbers than the last one. Here it is in a nutshell: Normal trading hours 2 hour maximum per booking Indoors capacity 10 people per space with a max of 2 spaces. The Pub has 2 spaces Our outdoor smoking area will be open for bookings of 4 people only with a maximum of 8 per the space (i.e. 2 tables of 4) Patrons must be seated in all areas. Masks are mandatory unless seated. Regional patrons only with customer details taken. (ID required) Bookings are considered essential Booking times are 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm, 5pm-7pm, 7pm-9pm with 9-11pm on request. 03.01.2022 Iso Punting 2.0 Final Results What a way to finish up our Isolation Punting... A 3 way tie with Dean Hope winning on countback. It was a tough day for the punters however 3 stood out Dean, Ed and Potter. Dean's 4 winners for the day giving him the nod. The Randwick Place Card again hit a speed bump thru the middle of the day with noone even getting close.... This now ends our 2nd instalment of Iso Punting with the pub returning to normality. 03.01.2022 Petrel Punting... Stakes Day It was another weird day of Punting with the TAB all up the sh!t... we've crowned a new 1st time winner in Margie Shiells. Margie tipped the card with a place getter in every race. Unluckily for Marg the Place Card was in Sydney and nobody made it to race 3, meaning that next weeks Place Card Jackpots to $300!!!

Congratulations Phil Heard, who successfully picked up his bonus points and then rode home Bandersnatch in the last.
