16.01.2022 This is 1994 Vaganova Academy graduation exam excepts of our director, Sergey Pevnev! It was one of the most challenging and emotional roller coaster on that day.. I was 17 years old. After 8 years of full time training we had to show the pure classical class in front of all the Vaganova teachers and directors of major Russian ballet theatres. I still clearly can remember the level of excitement, mixed with stress and concentration not to forget any steps.. When my teache...r (amazing Boris Yakovlevich Bregvadze, I will talk more about him ) put me on the centre barre, under the portrait of Vaganova, I just had to be the best of myself, more than ever. In Vaganova Academy its the most prestigious place at the barre during exams or daily classes. I spent there the last 4 years of my full time training. The exam lasts about an hour and has to fit in many exercises, it felt like express train, with short occasional breaks (10sec) in between some exercises at the barre. Heres the beginning of the exam with my teacher introduce us to the panel of teachers and directors following with the three exercises (pli, tendu and jet ) linked together to save time of the class. #pevnevballet #vaganovatraining #perthballet #perthballetteacher See more

Our graduate student, Jasmine Henry, after passing her final exams at Vaganova Ballet Academy with the highest mark, has been offered a contract with the world famous Mariinsky Ballet Company (ex Kirov Ballet) in St Petersburg, Russia.
