22.01.2022 The PFCC is looking to provide accommodation for a new cricketer moving to town for this years season. We are asking if anyone has a room/accommodation and would be willing to enter into an agreement with the PFCC and the young man, this would be greatly appreciated. 20.01.2022 Hi all U13’s & U15’s cricketers, Training for this season will start at 4.30pm for U13’s and 5pm for U15’s this Thursday. Due to COVID rules we will need to be finished on time to allow the next group to train so please be on time to ensure we maximise our time slot. You will need to sign the COVID registrar on arrival and also bring your own cricket gear and drink bottle. If you haven’t any cricket gear please do not worry, come along and the club will help sort you out. ... Our aim this season as coaches is to create a inclusive and fun environment to help develop our cricket skills. We will be posting through Team App to help communicate with training times, game day details, travel arrangements etc. So please all players and parents join to stay connected. I look forward to a energetic season and due to COVID there are indications that all our games might be 20/20 over matches. No time for day dreaming!! 18.01.2022 Hi with all of this rain over the last couple of days you will have noticed that our grounds are very very wet. I have made a decision that it would be wise to keep off them this weekend, so no training on Sunday. To make up for that, over the coming week we will train, Tuesday at 5.30pm, Thursday at 5.30 pm, then on Saturday at 9.00am there will be an intra club practise match. After the game you are all invited to the Belfast Restaurant for lunch, and a get to know one another catch up. Big week coming up, you can let me know at training when you sign in if you are able to play and attend the lunch. Brian

17.01.2022 Under 15 Wrap: Chasing a massive score of 244 against Dennington the Pirates did a great job but fell just short. After an early dismissal Kaden Wilson steadied the team with a chance less 60 (retired). Sam Allen scored a classy 57 before an over by C Noonan delivered 3 wickets in 4 balls (all bowled).... This wasn’t the end for us though to the credit of the tail. Jonty West came out swinging and eventually we were all out for 206. This score would win many games and it just shows how important fielding and bowling are as well. The team is improving each week and we look forward to our next match against West Warrnambool at Brauer College. See more

17.01.2022 U13, U15 and U17 Cricketers Unfortunately the sun gods are not looking after us at the moment and due to the current rain and radar reports, cricket training has been cancelled tonight. It shows how valuable our indoor facilities have been prior to Covid. Keep hitting the balls in the backyards and get into the nets when you can. With the season start fast approaching watch this space for we will might try and slip in an extra training soon.... 14.01.2022 Belfast Bash, Sunday the 3rd of January could all players wishing to play be at the ground at 3.30 pm. The organisers will need a hand with BBQ's raffles, set up and cleaning up after the night. Player support would be appreciated. Our regular season recommences on Saturday the 9th, with 2 T20 x Div 1matches at home & 1 x Div 2 T20 matches away at Merivale. 3rd grade playing at home on the 16th of January. A big days cricket. Training will be Tuesday the 5th and Thursday the 7th at 6.00 pm. Go Pirates!!!

10.01.2022 Hi all as of this coming Thursday, teas will be back on at the club after training. Teams will be announced and you can have a roast beef roll as well. It doesn't get any better than that. See you all there.

08.01.2022 Under 17s Mid Season Wrap: It has been an encouraging season to date. The team is showing great sportsmanship and support to each of their team mates. Improvements have been demonstrated in all players and most importantly fun on the field. Results wise the team is in the top four,with a few individual highlights. We have already seen a five wicket haul and a hat trick and a few retired batsmen.The last three games will be significant. Things are certainly looking positive fo...r a team that is almost entirely bottom age. Go Pirates

05.01.2022 Great weather for ducks! Unfortunately not great for cricket. Under 17, 15 and 13 training has been called off today. Hopefully we will be good to go next week.

02.01.2022 Division One suffered their first loss of the year going down to Wesley by 13 runs. Wesley batted first making 134. Mark Pitt doing the damage with 4 wickets. In reply Port struggled from the start, losing wickets on a regular basis. Max Green steadied the ship with 47 forming some handy partnerships but in the end we just fell short by 13 runs. Division Two also played Wesley suffering the same fate. Batting first Wesley openers made the most of a beautiful wicket putting ...on 132 for the first wicket. From there port pulled them back a bit limiting them to 5-197. With the bat Port got off to a bad start and never recovered. Harry Hogan 35, Gus Blackwood unbeaten on 32 and AJ Buck 24 with Port bowled out for 127. Division Three lost to Russells Creek. Batting first Port made 9 - 142, Sam ‘Seagull’ Wilson not out 27. Creek made the runs in 30 overs with 6 wickets spare. Wilson with 3 wickets.
