25.01.2022 SO GOOD So good.... fresh out of oven donut and jam muffins So good.... that the team at Willow & Co. Coffee Shop make them So good.... to be able to make a delivery of hot donut and jam muffins on behalf of Willow & Co.... So good.... to be a part of a community that really cares Today, the owner of Willow & Co. , Dianne Stepto, contacted the PGC team as she was aware that our job takes us across the border and she wanted to do something for the frontline workers. We called past, picked up the amazing muffins and dropped them to the causeway checkpoint for theADF and NSW Police members, just in time for afternoon tea. They were VERY well received and we have been asked to pass on the feedback of thanks, they were so good #goteam #covid #communitysupport #communityspirit #sogood

22.01.2022 BORDER LIFE . . Time to do another border crossing permit. Time for another call to Service NSW... Time to remember that the person on the front line didn't write the rules. . . Working on both sides of the border, we are regulars at the checkpoints and since it began we have tried to show understanding and support, even during some trying situations. . . A bag of lollies, pen and a quick thank you has gone a long way it showing the front line workers that we support them. . . #thankyou #borderlife #pgcsecurity #thesmallthings #frontlineworkers #police #adf #goteam See more

21.01.2022 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM Popping up in the memories today was a photo from 6 years ago of Tim’s birthday in the office. Back when it was funny to fill someone’s office with latex breath bags aka balloons. Poor Tim went to answer a phone call and balloons starting falling out of the door as soon as it opened, remaining completely professional, he spoke with the client, sorted their matter and then told us we were all nuts.... Some things have changed, some things haven’t. We wouldn’t fill his office with balloons, Tim is still professional, we are still nuts and it’s still Tim’s birthday so Tim, we’s like to wish you a very happy birthday. #pgc #goteam #balloons #officedecoration #happybirthdaytoyou

20.01.2022 Thanks to the ABC, this makes it a lot clearer when you should be wearing a mask in the car. Most of our team are wearing them even when they are by themselves because it is easier and more effective than putting new ones on each time and washing their hands. We make 100's of stops over night and want to do our part to help stop the spread.... #covid #stopthespread #goteam #newnormal

13.01.2022 SILENT ACHIEVER SHOUT OUT Another Monday and another reminder of the amazing community we live in. . . .... Pete Adams When it comes to silent achiever, there is no one that fits the title better than Pete Adams, life member of the Albury & Border Rescue Squad - NSW Volunteer Rescue Association Inc. (ABRS) Pete joined the ABRS shortly after its commencement in 1962 and has been there ever since. During his time with the squad, Pete has worked tirelessly attending call outs, supporting fellow volunteers, and giving selflessly to help build the squad. Pete is the mastermind behind the catering of squad events and BBQ's. He is the silent type who just goes about the job and at the recent AGM, was honoured with life membership to the squad. Having met Pete, we are pleased to introduce a kind, respective and tireless worker for our community- Pete Adams. Pete- on behalf of PGC Security and the wider community THANK YOU for everything you have done and continue to do. We would hate to count the hours that you have given in support of others over the past 55 years but we would love to shout you a cuppa (the vouchers will be at the squad waiting for you) . . #goteam #silentachiever #oneofthegoodones #loveabbq #hugeeffort #thankyou #PGC

12.01.2022 Inside your alarm will be circuit boards, possibly as GSM unit and plenty of cable but the team also love cable ties and knowing that if they take the cover off later that the cables won’t attack them. Scott and Lukas have finished another installation and left site with another satisfied client. #PGC #goteam #prideinthejob #cabletiesfixeverything #techporn #nosurpriseshere

08.01.2022 MASKING UP Welcome to the new normal, for the foreseeable future anyway. Huge thanks to all the team who have grasped the wearing of masks with two sanitised hands and run with it. ... For some time now, we have had sites that have required masks, more going with it this week and then today, the announcement that Victoria will be mandatory as of Sunday night, so as a company we will have all the team wearing them as part of our COVID plan. Employees provided with medical certificates to show they cannot wear masks will be rostered to solo sites, without contact to public or other staff wherever possible and we will work with them source alternatives to the masks. This is something that we must face as a community For those that believe that the masks are sheep mentality, let’s not find out that you are wrong! We deal with countless people while providing a critical service and don’t want to be the ones to contact our clients to advised that, during those dealings that we had contact with someone with Coronavirus and then continued on with our day. If we prevent the spread of one case, it was worth If we prevent one of the team getting Coronavirus, it was worth it. #COVID #maskedbandit #trentsetter #goteam #newfashion

08.01.2022 SILENT ACHIEVER SHOUT OUT Good Morning Monday! After a wet weekend of grand finals, it's time to get back to it and time to bring another silent achiever out from behind the curtains and share what they do to make a difference . . Di Stepto is known to many as the owner of Willow & Co. Coffee Shop but she has a "hobby" that spans back countless years and has made a difference for so many young woman as she hosts debutante balls.... Many years ago, Di took on hosting deb balls as part of the Girl Guides, however like many things the times changed and the guides stopped having the balls. For some crazy reason, Di wasn't prepared to stop there and she started doing them on her own under the banner of the Albury District Debutante Balls. Over the years Di has run over 70 debutante balls with an average of 18 ladies per ball. That's a whopping 1260+ debutantes and their partners that she has overseen, planned, coordinated and worked with to allow them to make their debut into society. In a world were everything is changing and many traditions have been lost, it's wonderful that Di continues to make this available to the young women of our community. From having 1 ball a year, Di now hosts somewhere between 4 to 8 balls per season. That is a massive effort and so many teenagers to work with. Thank you Di for your commitment to the youth of our community in providing this opportunity. #Traditions #lotsofhormones #hugeeffort . . . . Please note there is a fee for the debutantes and their partners to do their debut, however this is to cover the costs of the event, dance lessons, venue hire, security etc.

07.01.2022 #pgcsecurity MUST HAVE COFFEE! Improvise, adapt, overcome and when it comes to coffee, that is exactly what must be done if you are working a 12 hour shift wearing a facemask. Let’s all be honest, who wants a security guard dealing with people if they haven’t had enough morning coffee?... #pgc #pgcsecurity #planb #coffee #lifeessentials #sippycup #covid19

06.01.2022 SILENT ACHIEVER SHOUT OUT November! How did that happen? It doesn't seem that long ago that it was March and everyone's world was about to change. Don't blink or it will be Christmas .... . Meet Mel Wilke, of WMedia, or as nearly 3,000 women know her, the personality and brains behind ISOBitches. When COVID upended everyone's lives, Mel came up with the idea of a Facebook page to support women while they dealt with home schooling, working from home, not working or whatever the individual circumstances were, and ISBOBitches was born. Over the months that have followed, Mel has provided a constant run of inspirational posts with ideas on how to cope, reference material or links for support or live videos as she gets out and exercises (hoping to motivate some of us but she keeps showing those wiggle sticks- no thank you!!) We think one of her biggest hits might have been a Friday night drinks session "with the girls" via zoom, again one of her ideas to make sure that everyone had contact and as much normal as possible. While doing all of this, Mel has her own family, business and COVID challenges but she has been there for all of her "bitches" It's no doubt taken a massive amount of time and commitment to run, manage and post for the ISOBitches page but it is the strength that she has given to so many women to keep moving forward that has really stood out to us. The coffee is on us Mel as we thank you for all your efforts #goteam #isobitch #PGC #hugeeffort #thankyou

05.01.2022 Love it when a client is busy and needing more staff. Do you know someone that might suit this position? #lovelocal #familybusiness #tradielife #goteam #pgc #pgcsecurity

04.01.2022 FREE DEFENSIVE TACTICS TRAINING Do you know someone in the security industry that deals with people, or even worse, aggressive people? Do you know someone in the security industry that did the required self defense to pass the course and no more?... Do you know someone in the security industry that you’d like to see come home safely after their shift? Thanks to Ben Hamilton, PGC Security will be hosting a training session next Tuesday from 1500-1700, to refresh on the legal requirements and defensive tactics that might just make all the difference if you’re placed in a face to face conflict. For details, please contact Ben. NUMBERS ARE LIMITED Ben Hamilton has an extensive martial arts background and worked in the security industry before becoming a Victorian Police Officer. During his time at VicPol, he trained officers in defense techniques and brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the security industry to this session.

03.01.2022 IT WILL TAKE A COMMUNITY EFFORT . . Tomorrow is Day and for more people than ever before, the answer will be !!... As a community, we all need to be there for each other to help, listen, support, offer assistance or just be there. For our Victorian friends, clients, and their staff, it is even tougher as they have some of the toughest restrictions in the world to live with. Our own beloved book keeper, Michelle, is based in Melbourne and hasn’t been able to see her extended family or friends for weeks but each day she takes your calls with her normal cheerful manner and I am very proud and honoured to have her as part of the team and wish her and her family all our love and support. I understand that these are uncertain times and would like to assure all our clients that we are here for you to ensure that you have a security solution to suit your needs, and budget. If you are experiencing financial issues in relation to your account, contact us to allow us to work with you for an outcome. You have enough on your plate without worrying about not having security for your home or business, so together we will work through it. Sometimes it can be a hard conversation to start, however please know that there will be no judgement, just a common goal to find a solution to maybe one of the challenges you are facing. With PGC Security having been around for over a quarter of a century, we have experienced our own business challenges and understand the pressure that it can put on you. If a conversation about your security can lift some of the weight that you are carrying, it’s a chat worth having. Keep safe and remember, we’ve got you covered, Joh Paynter Owner
