21.01.2022 As most would appreciate, it’s sometimes hard to see all the good things right in front of you when you’re faced with challenges like many of us have faced throughout the pandemic this year - whether it’s been in business or on a more personal level. As business owners and colleagues we could not be more proud and grateful for our hard working and dedicated team whom have all worked tirelessly throughout this pandemic to assist our clients in trying to keep their businesses ...operating and maintaining some level of financial certainty. As a matter of reflection, here are some of the outcomes achieved by our team for the benefit of our clients: Assessing and accessing entitlements to the JobKeeper program for several hundred clients Processing entitlements for the CashFlow Boost as part of Business Activity Statements since April Negotiation of rent deferrals and waivers between landlords and tenants Submissions for Land Tax relief where rent waivers had been negotiated Processing of State Payroll Tax refunds Preparing submissions to State Governments for Grant applications over three different Grant periods Reviewing and amending hundreds of PAYG Instalments to preserve cashflow Negotiation of tax payment and deferral plans with the Australian Taxation Office, including remissions of General Interest Charges .. along with trying to manage the ordinary day to day workloads, whilst being dislocated from our offices since 18th March!! We know it has not been easy and we’ve asked a lot, but we want our team to know how grateful we are for their commitment, care and dedication to our business and our clients. 19.01.2022 PGP in the wild. On the weekend, the Fight Like Fred team participated in the Surf Coast Century event, with runners tackling the mammoth 100km and 50km solo runs on Saturday and two teams of four undertaking the 100km relay on Sunday, with PGP Accountant Zach Moore completing the final leg for one of the relay teams. The Fight Like Fred team was setup by Joel Van Oosten, a friend of Zach, in honour of Joel’s father Fred who was diagnosed with MS 27 years ago. To date the Fig...ht Like Fred team has raised over $12,500 for MS Research Australia, culminating in the Surf Coast Century on the weekend which was a great event with a lot of hard work put in by all, as well as having a lot of fun. The special showcases the challenges Australians have faced this year and the very different Christmas they are soon to experience. The audience sees through the eyes of a nine-year-old boy, demonstrating how small actions can impact lives, highlighting the impact of Kmart’s ...annual Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal, in partnership with The Salvation Army. Audiences watch the journey of each donated gift, from the moment the item is chosen at a Kmart store, to the moment a recipient selects the gift at their local Salvation Army. The special premieres tonight on Channel 9 at 7:30pm, make sure to check it out!
