20.01.2022 Today we remember those who have served this country we call our home. We pay tribute to those who are currently serving, be it overseas, at home, away from lo...ved ones or out bush. It is a day to say thank you for their tireless work, service and sacrifice, they make every day. Today when you see a member of the Australian Army, Royal Australian Navy or Royal Australian Air Force, former or current serving, be sure to show your appreciation and thank them for their service. Additionally, we acknowledge our neighbours New Zealand Army and NZ Defence Force, who to this day we continue to work with. #AusArmy #AnzacDay2018 #GoodSoldiering Commonwealth of Australia Photos: CPL Genner

10.01.2022 The increasing global burden of hip fractures is significant. The Asia-Pacific region alone is predicted to account for half of the worlds hip fractures by 2050. The Australian and New Zealand Hip Fracture Registry (ANZHFR), based at Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA), has initiated a series of Hip Festivals to harness the collective knowledge of key stakeholders in the field and to inspire and enable those involved in the provision of care. Attendees have the opportu...nity to share experiences and innovative solutions to improve care in their local context. Presentations from clinicians from both regional and city-based services will highlight the challenges and the many possible solutions to improve hip fracture care in South Australia. Specialist talks will focus on shared models of care, pre-operative regional anaesthesia, the role of fracture liaison services, rehabilitation, and the role of the ANZHFR in driving change. There will also be Q&A sessions and workshops designed to optimise specific aspects of hip fracture care.
