24.01.2022 Just a heads up, our track will be closed this weekend for track maintenance for the East Coast Nats. If you’re looking for some track time, check out Sunshine Coast Raceway or Logan, they may have some practice available.

23.01.2022 Ok guys. This week at PHDR. Wednesday - We have Hot Laps with Royce from 4.30pm to 9.30pm. The usual $10 fee applies. Friday - Night racing returns from 6.30pm. Format for Friday night will be 1 heat and then finals, gates open from 5.30pm.... Classes 1/8 Nitro and EP and 1/10 Costs - $10 The canteen will be open with pies, sausage rolls and hot dogs. For catering purposes can you put your noms in and advise if you want food, what etc. Have a great week and hope to see you at the track.

21.01.2022 Good afternoon all, Just an update on the track rebuild, pending weather etc, it is planned to hold an Opening Day practice day on Sunday 5 July (further details will be provided next week). The usual new World COVID requirements will be applicable. To that end, please find attached the PHDR COVID - 19 Action Plan. A huge shout out goes to Gail and Andrew Carding for developing the plan for the club. It is a comprehensive document that covers all COVID - 19 requirements f...or the club. 20.01.2022 Update from RCRA All, an update for you all. As promised, the executive have met and discussed the overall stance of RCRA and sanctioned events with respect to government advice. Due to the inability for ALL racers across the country to practice, to attend their clubs and attend events sadly our advice of all sanctioned events being on hold until June 30 still stands. ... All IFMAR events, including the IC 1/10th worlds in Brisbane, are still indefinitely delayed. We are hopeful that regular club racing can get back to normal at some stage this year for all racers and once this occurs we can review the national calendar. We remind you that we all have a responsibility to do our part with regards to stopping the spread and we must adhere to government advice as a minimum. This week has seen a number of state and territory governments relax restrictions regarding social gathering - this is wonderful, welcomed news. Numerous locations are now allowing up to 10people to gather in social and non-contact sporting situations. Social distancing of 1.5m spacing and 4sqm per person in covered areas still applies in all instances however. This means *some* clubs will be able to open their tracks for practice days. It will of course depend on individual club circumstances, government advice and council rules. We encourage clubs that would like to open their tracks to seek guidance locally and also adhere to the guidance provided in the attached statement.

16.01.2022 UPDATE - thanks to Andrew for getting the lawn done today, the main task tomorrow will be laying the turf and top soil. If you have a wheel barrow can you bring it too. Ok folks, this Saturday from 9am we are running a working bee. Everyone that enjoys the track, this is your time to help out and keep the track and facility in great condition. Bring wheel barrow, rake and shovel if you have one. ALSO! With all the practice sessions the club has saved up enough to turf the in...field! Thanks to everyone whos been joining into these sessions and supporting the club, these funds go straight back into improving the facility we enjoy. 11.01.2022 Good morning all, Unfortunately we have received communications from the council that In accordance with the Federal Government declaration all community and recreation venues must close, unless their operations provide an essential service. For example; for the purpose of hosting essential voluntary or public services, such as food banks or homeless services. As such, the club combo lock has been removed for the foreseeable future.... When community restrictions are lifted we will refit the combo lock and advise members. Regards, PHDR Committee.

09.01.2022 While racing is on hold, unfortunately the grass doesnt stop growing. We were lucky enough to get Grasshoppers Lawn Care to come out on a Sunday to give the grass a once over. The grounds look amazing and the track is in primo condition. Just know everyone once the restrictions are lifted the track is ready to go.

05.01.2022 Morning all, Further to the advice from RCRA, PHDR is still closed to any sort form of practice or racing at the direction of the Moreton Bay Regional Council. The committee have discussed the impacts associated with the close down and also considering our race calendar and have decided to continue with our scheduled track work on the weekend of 9-10 May. This track work was identified at the start of the year to get the track ready for our national round. Due to the clos...edown required for the track work, this seemed an opportune time to have the work done while we have an enforced closedown. It is hoped that the track work will be completed in time for when restrictions are finally lifted, but if restrictions are lifted earlier than we anticipate, the track will remain closed until the track is ready to go again (hopefully not required). Please keep an eye out for posts calling for helpers to put pipe etc back on the track and any other tidy up work required. Regards, PHDR Committee
