21.01.2022 UPDATE - Dunn’s Road Fire We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who sent their well wishes to us during this dreadful period. The fire started by a single lightening strike in the Ellerslie National Park about 12km from our farm Moorallie. This disastrous fire burnt with amazing and terrifying ferocity virtually from Adelong to Victoria. The destruction was enormous, burning everything in it’s path with no ability to control it.... Thankfully for a wind change we only lost approximately 400 acres, otherwise our farm would have all been burnt. Helen was evacuated to her daughter’s property at Adjungbilly along with all of our Labradors. Belinda and the children went to a caravan park in Tumut and Lachlan stayed on the property to fight the frightful inferno. Helen has lived on Moorallie since 1969 and has never experienced anything like it. We had a very productive Spring with early September rains and the fuel load was immense, particularly in the National Parks where it is impossible to control. We were fortunate not to have lost any stock or our homestead. Moorallie Cottage and Tracton Homestead farm stays were also saved. We are so indebted to the RFS, volunteers and property owners who saved so many houses and lives. Our thoughts go out to everyone who has been affected by this terribly sad event. We will keep breeding our beautiful dogs and hopefully with rain we will gradually get back to running Moorallie as a successful cattle and sheep breeding enterprise as well as Phenwick Labradors.

Lighthouse is a superbly bred bitch that we imported from Rubywood Kennels in Latvia.... Her sire is Keepsake Brickhouse, a world-renowned and magnificent foundation sire from the famous Keepsake Kennels in the USA. Her dam is Rubywood Love, a full sister to our Red Dog (Rubywood Leica Fox), and presents a deep red coat and stunning physique. 17.01.2022 We are anxiously awaiting the safe arrival of this beautiful boy, Fire. In this pic he is on his way to the airport in Latvia to make a long journey, arriving in Australia in a few days time (he is travelling with another female lab too). It is an exciting time for us, as we have been waiting for this boy and girl for 9 months, but it also comes with a little sadness for our Latvian friends (who we consider family) who have raised and cared for them since they were puppies. They have done an amazing job raising all of our Fox Red Labs and I wanted to share a few pics with you to show the wonderful environment in which they have been raised in and experienced. #rubywoodlabradors #rubywoodphenwickonfire #rubywoodjazzsinger

12.01.2022 VALE ROCKY - Phenwick Morocco During our recent terrible period of bushfires we were shattered to find our adored Phenwick Morocco passed away in his yard, only two days after all of our dogs had returned from being evacuated. The results showed he had suffered a snake bite. Rocky was such a lovely dog. A solid black boy with a lovely strong and very masculine head, thick tail and a gorgeous soft temperament.... He was out of our beautiful bitch, Thelma, who has the most amazing puppies. His sire was Croftsway Rum Runner. He certainly was Belinda’s baby and this has been such a devastating loss. We miss him terribly and have been so saddened by him leaving us, hence the reason for us delaying this notice. He will always live on in our hearts and in his beautiful progeny.
