24.01.2022 POLO Advisory on PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR DISPLACED LANDBASED AND SEABASED FILIPINO WORKERS DUE TO CORONA VIRUS DISEASE (COVID-2019) 10th Apr 2020 / advisory DOLE-AKAP for OFWs 10 April 2020 The Philippine Overseas Labor Office wishes to inform the Oversea Filipino Workers who are holders of Working Visas that the Department of Labor and Employment provides a One-Time Financial Assistance for displaced landbased and seabased workers due to Covid19 disease ...called DOLE-AKAP for OFWs. Based on the guidelines (link: https://www.dole.gov.ph//department-order-no-212-series-o/) and in consideration of the circumstances peculiar to Australia, please be guided with the following: 1. Coverage: Regular/Documented/Balik-Manggagawa/Workers who are principal holders of working visas and are currently here in Australia: a. Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457) b. Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482) c. Skilled Regional (provisional) visa (subclass 489) Note: The ff undocumented workers will be considered on a case to case basis: a. Those who were previously regular or documented but for some reason or cause have lost their regular or documented status b. Those who are not registered with POEA or whose contracts were not processed by POEA or POLO , but have undertaken actions to regularize their contracts or status c. Those who are not registered with POEA or whose contracts were not processed by POEA or POLO, but are active OWWA members at the time of availment 2. Eligibility: Those who have experienced job displacement due to Australia’s imposition of lockdown or community quarantine or having been infected by the corona virus disease and have not received any financial support/assistance from Australian Government or employers. 3. Requirements: a. Duly accomplished and signed Application Form (Click here) b. Photocopy of Valid Passport Biopage c. Any one (1) proof of overseas employment (e.g. Work Visa, OEC, Valid and POLO Verified Employment Contract) d. Proof of loss of employment (e.g. emails, text messages or similar written notifications) 4. Procedure: a. Applications and other requirements must be submitted online in observance of social distancing to POLO’s email address [email protected]. All applications will be subject to evaluation and approval based on meeting the coverage, eligibility and documentary requirements. b. Approved applicants will be notified by email for submission of bank details which will be used to transfer the financial assistance together with the accomplished acknowledgement receipt. The passport mission in Adelaide starts next week on Monday 20th and runs till Friday 24th. 600 Philippine citizen will be renewing their passports and approximately 40 dual citizenships will be sworn in.... 18.01.2022 Hello everyone going to the FSCCSA Prostate Gala Ball Saturday 16/11 A few notes/ reminders: There will be a large crowd (320) so get there early so we can get everyone seated by 6.30. Doors will open 5.45-6pm. Please be patience. Please bring your tickets including the on line tickets.... The car park on South Road will be tight for room and you will have to show your tickets to enter the car park. There is another event on at Kings Reserve. It is formal attire with a Blue theme. There will be a major raffle and a silent auction. The major auction item is a queen size Adriatic bed donated by Adriatic Slumber. 17.01.2022 Mobile Passport Mission In Adelaide Update Application date for passport Mobile Mission has been POSTPONED till further notice. The booking system WILL NOT open on the 23rd of March. Canberra embassy have put a hold on all mobile missions.... Applications will open on the 23rd March (POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE). The booking times will be online this year. Paperwork and inquiries will be through Canberra. Details on what to do will be explain on the 23rd March on my Facebook page and on the Philippine Canberra Embassy website. The application process will go for a few weeks then shut. The mobile Mission has been rescheduled to the June 15-19 In Adelaide. Venue to confirm. This will also include Dual Citizenship's. There are many benefits in becoming a Dual Citizens including the right to vote, to stay as long as you want in PH, buying of land and all the rights of a Philippine Citizen. There will also be registration for voting for the upcoming election in 2022 available to anyone that wants too. Please Share.

There is no new date as yet.There will be some extensions granted for passports and for visas. The extension can not be granted for expired passports. Extensions can only be granted 30 days before the passport expiry date or visa expiring.The process is available in South Australia. Email me for more details [email protected] Clearance still needs to be applied for to get approval for the extension.
