25.01.2022 It was a "cruisy" day yesty! Hows about those 3 HJ47 all in a row!!

25.01.2022 We havnt done one of these for a while... A customer who lives not far out of town was hearing an awful sound on their way in. They pulled into the garage and Phil Denyer had a squiz underneath while they did jobs down the street. This bunch of barbed wire was wrapped around the tail shaft. The noise must have been horrendous. Its cut into a heap of bits here.... Be careful where you drive and if you hear horrible noises after driving in the paddock or on the side of the road, please check before going to far!

24.01.2022 We are proud to host a BBQ and the venue to draw the Barraba Support Group Christmas Raffle for 2019. This Saturday 30th November from 10am

24.01.2022 COVID-19 update Firstly, thank you for your patience and understanding since March. We know its been a longer process to do the things that used to be all handled in a quick phone call. Current process will remain the same until School returns full time. We continue to ask our customers... - do not come to the shop if you are sick no matterhow small the symptoms are. - to remain at 1 in the shop at anytime. - to sanitize hands when you arrive (on the spare parts counter) - if your enquiry does not need to be in person, please call (02) 6782 1107 or e-mail [email protected] Thank you to the Barraba community for keeping us busy.

22.01.2022 Did you know we have motorbike tubes in stock? From 10" through to 21" - many are heavy duty or super tough tubes in brands such as Kenda and Rhino. Limited tyres available- any size available by order.

21.01.2022 Yep, it runs in the blood. Historic vehicles and mechanics. https://www.facebook.com/1003009573091363/posts/2788054574586845/

21.01.2022 We hope everyone had a great long weekend (did you get a long weekend?) Phil and Ally did a quick trip to Moree and Garah - incredibly dry all the way and back. Devistating. Its been 6 months since the last trip. Ally was happy to have the chance to take Kevin the cruiser for a drive, the longest since learning to drive in it, a couple of years ago (ha!) What a beast. Phil Denyer also had a great weekend, picking up another truck of course. *insert Ally rolling her eyes her...e* Hope you all got a chance to either ride, drive or simply enjoy 5 minutes over the weekend.

20.01.2022 Chrsitmas Trading Our last appointment is Friday 20th December 2019 Re-open Monday 6th January 2020

20.01.2022 Its hard to believe our workshop entry has been smooth for a year already! It had been crumbly and not needing replacement for a while. Nothing like a long weekend for slab work to allow time to go off. We used local trades only. Fletchers Concrete, Barraba Rural Trades for the reinforcement, Fletchers also broke up the existing slab and disposed of it for us. Hugh Murray and Dean White completed the slab. Sensational effort. I wonder what improvements will come next!!

19.01.2022 Its been a while since Ally bought this jumper! Phil has heard the Barraba v Moree game story a thousand times! We are proud sponsors of First Grade #6 and Reserve Grade #19 for the 2020 season. Its nice to be able to support local sporting teams as well as events. This year the club kicks off 4th of April with a home game against Moree. Sounds like a game not to be missed!

19.01.2022 SOLD Who dont love rainy days and MUD! FOR SALE... Honda 2009 CRF90 motorbike. Comes with manual, helmet and protective gear. Its at our garage for inspection. More pictures in comments. Call 0267821107

19.01.2022 A reminder Cabin/Pollon Filters are a real thing! Has yours been changed latley?

17.01.2022 The annual Barraba Show kicks off tomorrow -its incredible the windows that are put togther by the business. They really are worth a look, so have a stroll up and down the main street and at the end of Alice Street to Rural Traders and see them for yourself. (Also some photos are shown on the Barraba Show Society facebook page) We have cheated a little here and have gone with a sign and a banner displaying the amazing things to see and do at our local show, Charlies face on the dodgem cars is priceless and Lexies is looking beautiful with her face paint on. The show is a wonderful time, see what fabulous talents there are in our community with displays in the pavilion, a huge campdraft ran over four days (kicked off on Thursday), rodeo, rides and other displays.

17.01.2022 Even while we are closed, Phil has been busy doing a few things inside the garage. We hope you like the changes! Pictured is one of Phils relics, a Dodge.... Remember, we are back on Monday 6th January 2020.

17.01.2022 Did you know we have tubes for gofers, trolleys, mowers and more 4" 5" 6" and 8" rim in various sizes with rubber or metal stems. We also have common gofer tyres, trolley tyres and mower tyres in stock.

16.01.2022 Did you know we also have push bike tubes in common sizes? Tyres and accessories available by order.

16.01.2022 Anyone notice anything new at the garage recently? Love or hate them, this P76 is a tidy piece of Australian automotive history. ATTENTION Are you a member of the Manilla Vintage Machinery Group? Have you renewed your membership?... Usually memberships are taken during the rally on the long weekend, but because of COVID-19 the rally was not able to proceed BUT you still need to renew your membership to be able to drive your historic vehicle(s). We can take your memberships here at the garage or you can do so at Manilla Motors. Be quick!

16.01.2022 Cabin filters. Rest assured, they are an actual thing. Not all vehicles have them, but many from 2000 onwards do. This one is out of a vehicle we saw for the first time in January. ... With recent dust storms and the dry in general, it a good idea to check them regulary and replace when required.

15.01.2022 Its been wonderful watching the rain come and go over the past weeks. While not everyone in the Barraba area has got it, we hope the rain ahead lands on your place soon. We understand that the rain must continue and it will take some time for everyone to *begin* to recover, and for things to resume to *normal*. Wishing you some rain soon!!... 15.01.2022 **UPDATED DATES** Phil's Fire and Rescue Training has been keeping him busy the past month with rescue training in Armidale and pumper training (learning to drive and use the different fire trucks) in Tamworth and Barraba. We thank you very much for your understanding when Phil is on a call out or away training. Ally & Phil

15.01.2022 Last week we had the pleasure of having Riley King back again for his second round in the garage over school holidays. Riley has enjoyed the feeling of accomplishment after removing this Fargo motor (or course) from a chassis out the back. A challenge to free the bolts after some 60 odd years but Riley persisted and got there. He also enjoyed a motorbike rebuild too. Thank you for your help Riley!!

09.01.2022 Merry Christmas to our customers and Facebook followers!! We trust Santa found you, he found us! Its been a busy year for us this year within the workshop. We have made improvements to the premises with a new workshop driveway as well as adding some whirly birds to the roof to help ease summer temps this year a little bit. We thank our customers for helping us through 2019, especially during unfathomable hard times that our community faces. You have been brilliant. We hope... for a nice wet 2020 so we can see you more. 08.01.2022 While we have recently passed the three year mark in the 73 Queen Street Barraba premises, we too have been an authorised NSW Light Vehicle Inspection Station for that time. Phil has been both the Proprietor and an Examiner of our AIS Station - how time flies! What does all this mean? It means we can do REGOS, specifically registration renewals for vehicles, motorbikes, trailers and caravans that are 4.5 tonne GVM or less. ... Pictured: Phils CM Valiant after its been adjusted (aka lowered). Vehicles 30 years and older qualify for Historic Rego with RMS. We are authorised by Manilla Vintage Machine Group to carry out these inspections for thier members in Barraba.

08.01.2022 Our first post of the year for 2020! Thank you to all for your kind words when learning that Phil Denyer and Ally Denyer won the Citizen of the Year at the Australia Day Awards ceremony last Sunday. It was a huge suprise and really cool to have been nominated, and very special to have been awarded Citizen of the Year for Barraba together. Thank you to our customers for continuing to support the garage which in turn allows Phil Denyer Mechanical Repairs to support events like ...The Recovery Concert on Australia Day, the Upper Horton Trail Ride, the Northern Inland Pony Express and many other little events, charities, organisations and people along the way. 2020 will see some changes and we hope that its a wet one so that 2021 can be better than ever. Many thanks.

04.01.2022 We were proud sponsors and look forward to the next event. Ally is wondering if a beetle or Kombi is in her future? Who knows with Phil, maybe just a miniature?
