15.01.2022 So this week I feel like I stepped up by not only creating mission and vision statements, but publishing them. The Mission: To help inspire service-based business owners to create an attractive digital presence, work closely alongside them to deliver results that are meaningful to their business, and to have fun and be happy whilst doing it. My core values that I hold true with the mission are: ... Love | Hope | Respect | Honesty Huge shout out to Loretta Hart for her invaluable assistance in clarifying these with me last year. Photo credit - Matthew Hart Yes - Loretta and Matt are a team; such wonderful humans who have helped me along my journey. Go follow them, for they are worthy of your time and attention. I also worked on my vision statement (which I’ll share tomorrow), and I can honestly say I feel SO much better having clear direction of what I want to achieve in the next five years. Thanks for your attention Much love. Phil G

15.01.2022 We live in a world where convenience is key we no longer have to wait for the majority of things. You want to know the answer to something? Just google it. Boom there’s the result. It’s easy to think that everything else should be like that. But deep down, we know it’s not. Good things take time to build. It’s also easy to forget that most overnight success stories take at least 10 years. So I love this bit from Gary Vaynerchuk that helps to keep the daily grind happening..., and not get upset when it feels like things aren’t moving as quickly as I want them to micro speed, macro patience. Bust your arse every day (hustle), but always keep the big vision in mind, and work towards / keep reinvesting in that. I expect that it’s going to take time to build my reputation, my personal brand, etc., by putting out good work and being humble about it. I know that the results will speak for themselves but first, I have to produce the results! Which, again, takes time. In summary, a great quote from Bill Gates Most people overestimate what they can do in 1 year, and underestimate what they can do in 10 years. Thanks for your attention. Much Phil G x

10.01.2022 Did the work for a client, and within 24 hours their business was listed in the top 3 map listings in Google for their primary category. Does that always happen, and that fast? No. But man, it was awesome watching it happen. I'm putting together a case study based on that client - a few more weeks of activity to collect the data, and then it'll be up.... But wanted to share the excitement from today. Boom!

10.01.2022 Money is an effective way of keeping score, as we all know what it takes to earn a dollar, and how quickly it goes. But I’ve met enough people with lots of money who are absolutely fucking miserable to know that there’s much, much more to life than becoming / being a millionaire. So I’m joining in with Gary Vaynerchuk, and rewriting what it means to be successful. I’d rather be happy with a little, than miserable with a lot. Funny thing is, I expect that by being happy with... a little, it will help me grow a lot because sharing the love, being kind, having empathy, and giving more than what I’m getting I’m sure that’s going to be worth more in the long-run. Let’s find out together. Thanks for your attention. Much love, Phil G PS - full post is https://philg.com.au/happiness-is-the-goal-not-money/

05.01.2022 Every now and then, someone asks what is it that you actually do? Fair question. When I was writing my vision statement, this came through loud and clear to help others be found. There are many ways to do this, but where I’m spending my time at the moment is helping business owners be found online for what it is they do. It’s the basic, low hanging fruit of connecting their business to people who are already looking for the service they provide but don’t know that their... business exists. It’s less about branding (which is an area I’m also passionate about), and more about having your core, fundamental business details everywhere your ideal client is likely to look (read = search engines and social platforms). And then making this experience frictionless for the consumer. Simple, but not easy. Simple in that what’s required to be done isn’t complicated, but not easy in that it’s time consuming. But it works. So what I do is the time consuming part, and get paid to do it because most don’t want to have to deal with it. No different to having a house cleaner, really. It’s about time. Most business owners would rather spend their time doing something else, but also want the results. My friend, Jamie from TNM Creative Media, said it beautifully to me yesterday I can do X for you, while you do what you do best. So I help business owners by making their phone ring with new business. I’ve spent the better part of the last five years getting my head around it, and I’ve always wanted to run an agency based upon it. Lots of things have got in the way of me doing that, and I could have gone in another direction for more money sooner. But rule #3 always stuck how you make your money, is more important than how much you make. I love helping people, and this methodology works for me. Getting people to pay attention that is my next magic trick. Looking forward to sharing with you how it all goes. Thanks for your attention. Much love <3 Phil G

03.01.2022 One of my main business heroes is @garyvee - and for a long, long time I’ve been part of the 99% who consume his content, and then don’t do anything about it. I get why people consume the content (great motivation), but for some reason or another, we don’t put it into action. Fear is usually the big one - fear of what other people think. It’s really easy to say I don’t give a fuck about what others think, and then to actually not care. I’ve cared for WAY TOO LONG. So enough.... Time to do instead of just sit on the sidelines. Who knows what happens from here. But what to say? That’s the second big thing that has stopped me. What do I have to say that is of value? The solution to this little dilemma? Document; don’t create. In other words, I’m not going to tell you what I’m GOING to do. I’m going to show you what I just DID. And then see if it works in the long-term. It either will work, or it won’t. My successes will be public, as will be my losses. But here’s the thing I’ve come to realise and internalise - I don’t care what you think about my losses. They are mine. As long as I carried out my actions according to my values, and I learned something, then all good. Who am I, what do I do, what do I stand for, why am I doing this? More to come tomorrow. Thanks for your attention. Much love Phil G
