21.01.2022 The Philip Leong Youth Programme will soon be taking nominations for the 2020 Bursary. This is an exciting opportunity for the young entrepreneurs of Townsville to get a significant financial boost to help achieve their business dreams. The PLYP Bursary is awarded to exceptional individuals who aspire to be entrepreneurs. Winners receive not only a cash boost of up to $10 000, but also invaluable mentoring and business coaching to assist with their goals. 11.01.2022 Congratulations to Kieran Wilkinson and Tristan Fivaz who were our two 2018 Bursary Winners! Tristan has developed an app to assist people with disabilities to check their mailbox, by sending a Push notification to their phone when they have received mail. Kieran is a licenced UAV operator and is developing drone technology to assist the Townsville community by performing remote inspections, that would otherwise be challenging to perform. Both of these incredible inventions will be a great help to our community and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors! Thankyou to everyone who attended our ceremony last night at iNQ, we hope you had a great night!

05.01.2022 Congratulations to the 2019 PLYP Recipients! Each recipient has showcased excellent leadership with business ideas to improve the Townsville economy. Since inception, 33 recipients have received more than $220,000 and have since created more than 60 full time local jobs, being an annual boost of more than $3 million per annum to our economy, what a fantastic achievement!
