23.01.2022 dti.sydney Masks have become mandatory in Victoria and now highly recommended in New South Wales. In the meantime, in the Philippines where wearing of masks became mandatory since the early days of the pandemic, the Philippine government distributed free face masks to beneficiaries from Rizal Province.... Twenty (20) million non-medical grade reusable and washable face masks that follow specifications set by the World Health Organization (WHO) were provided to vulnerable sectors that include households with senior citizens, pregnant women, special health conditions, and those part of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). The need for masks also inspired many small businesses to start producing reusable, washable and design-driven masks. Large corporations in the Philippines now has the capacity to produce over 60 million masks by the end of the year and can also export to Australia and worldwide. @dti.ftsc @dti.philippines #covid19 #covidresponse

D...uring the same briefing, adviser to global CEOs Mr Peter Wallace said the Philippine government continues to improve its business climate through strategic policy reforms such as the Anti-Red Tape (ARTA) law which aims to improve transparency, simplify business procedures and digitize services. There is also a rush to build infrastructure, improve internet connectivity and a country where productivity is high compared to its ASEAN neighbors.
