20.01.2022 Hi everyone, My name is Geetha and Im Phil's wife. On behalf of my daughters Danielle and Sanchia and Phil’s brothers and the rest of our families, thank you for the support for The Philip Toua Inaugural Memorial Concert held on 3rd September 2016 to remember those who didn't survive cancer and to raise awareness for the vital role that Clare Holland House plays in supporting people and families in their journey with cancer. This goes out to both the talented musicians and th...e audience who came out to support; There were a few who travelled from overseas and interstate to be there and thank you for making the effort!. We raised $3597.85 as donations at the event, so thank you! It's amazing what we can do as a community and the concert was testament to it. If you were not able to attend the concert and wish to make a donation please do so on line at https://www.gofundme.com/philiptouamemorial I would once again like to acknowledge the wonderful musicians who took part and were so generous with their time and support! Many of them were good friends and colleagues and had a personal connection to us and the event. Please keep supporting them at their next concerts. I must also acknowledge a few people by name as we could not have done it without them. Airlie Andrew for taking on the role of music/programme coordinator, Tomas Dietz for the great job as MC and general coordination, Evelyn Andrew for creating this FB page and keeping it updated, Vikram Rai for being our finance manager, setting up the GoFundMe website. James Isbister and Andrew Skeels for their kind words and support. Stassia Sleiman, Deb Thompson, Dora Chapman and the crew at Pilgrim house for organising afternoon tea, Graeme Lowe for being stage manager and The Pilgrim House for the venue! Our aim is to make this an annual event to fund raise for Clare Holland House so many other families can be supported like we were and continue to be. We look forward to seeing you next year! Save the date.. 2nd September 2017! Anyone who wants to support this cause, please contact me!

19.01.2022 Here is the programme for the event! If you enjoyed any of the performances it would be a lovely tribute to the players if you showed support for some of these upcoming concerts!

17.01.2022 As we count down to the concert, we are pleased to introduce another of our ensembles taking part! Long time friends and collaborators Pip Thompson and Douglas Macnicol are both longstanding members of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, and have played extensively both in Australia and internationally. They have also performed in Canberra with the Haydn Bande and the Linnaeus Quartet at venues including the National Gallery of Australia and the National Library. A shared passion for chamber music inspired Doug and Pip to begin exploring the repertoire for two unaccompanied violins. They are delighted to be able to present some of this interesting but obscure material at the upcoming concert. So come along and enjoy an afternoon of music and amazing talent while supporting a great cause!

17.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who donated! With your help we were able to raise $3432.85 from donations at the concert alone, and with the GoFundMe have raised just over $4000! The cheque with the concert donations was presented on Friday to Dr Andrew Skeels, medical director at Clare Holland House, ACT Hospice, and Jane Etchells, the Clare Holland House manager, by Geetha Isaac-Toua (Phil's wife), Evelyn Andrew (concert performer), and Meg Nuttal-Wicks, who helped with publicity and... whose father is currently a resident at Clare Holland House. We hope these funds will help Clare Holland House continue their fantastic work. Thank you again for the fantastic amount of support we have received! The GoFundMe page (https://www.gofundme.com/philiptouamemorial) will be open until the end of September if you hadn't had a chance to donate. We hope to raise $5000 in total!

17.01.2022 And that's a wrap! Thank you to our performers, especially those who travelled from interstate and overseas to be here today. And a huge thank you to everyone who came along to the concert, without your support this wouldn't have been possible. If you weren't able to make it today, please visit our GoFundMe page to make a donation to Clare Holland House. With your donations, they can continue to provide an outstanding quality of palliative care to the people who need it, and... support their families as they navigate difficult times. We look forward to seeing you all next year! https://www.gofundme.com/philiptouamemorial
