16.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT: The Phillip Island FNC would like to announce Jaymie Youle as the 2021 Senior Captain. Jaymie is one of Phillip island’s most decorated players of all time. Having already played 197 senior games, played in 3 Premierships, winning best and fairest, 2014 premiership captain, interleague captain, Jaymie has done it all.... His thirst for the contest, courage, willingness to throw his body on the line, defensvie pressure, and ability to stand up in big moments and games, and to do what is best for the team makes him a great on field leader. He has really grown in recent years taking young blokes under his wing, helping them with their strength and fitness, and teaching them how we want to play the game, and getting around them in a positive manner. He always wants what’s best for the club and is a Phillip Island bulldog through and through. Massive congratulations to Youley, a well deserved honour. Brendan Kimber has stepped aside as captain and will continue to play in 2021. Kimber as everyone knows is one of the best on field leaders community football has seen. In his time as coach and captain he has created a culture for everyone at Phillip Island to follow with his hardness at the contest and ability to bring it week in week out. No matter who we play, no matter the conditions you know that Kimber is going to have that look in his eyes and attack every contest in his fierce, tough and fair manner. We thank Kimber for his time as captain and look forward to seeing him continue to lead by his actions this coming season. Bring on Season 2021.
