25.01.2022 Here is Danny Savva on the left, days out from his last comp in september and on the right after 6 months of training with Philosophy Fitness and in shape for his holiday. Sitting a good 10kgs above his comp weight he has definitely put on some muscle in this time.



22.01.2022 DO YOU TRUST YOUR COACH??? I want to share with you guys one of my best experience... Here you see 1 year difference between these 2 different bodies.. Photo on... the left was taken in July 2016, when I was already on my comp prep before season B 2016, and photo on the right is taken last Friday - September 2017. Before I did this post I've done little survey with my friends asking about the difference in weight, all of them said at least 3-5kg... Hm the true is 500g!!! Yes! 500g! Last year - 55,5kg! Today 55kg! Now..what was wrong before-? After my first season of competing I definitely relaxed too much..yes still training, but not watching my diet, not controlling my weight, not training with my coach regularly, thinking that I know enough, I trained hard enough...literally not listening my coach...what a mistake! After my second season and now after already third one, I train with my coach at least 1/week, watching my diet, but still enjoying my life, controlling my weight. 18.01.2022 So its probably about time that i put up a post about the 5 women who i have had the pleasure of preparing for comp this past 12 months. Please don’t think comp prep is all that i do. It is actually only a small percentage of my personal training business and i only ever take on a small number of people who i really click with. If both parties don't have the time or investment you will never be able to give someone 100% and for comp prep this is whats needed. It needs to be ...something special for you to ask someone to get out of bed well before the sun, to spend hours in the gym lifting heavy things while burning that fat away and to ask them to eat a very specific way for weeks on end when all of their evolutionary traits tell them to do otherwise and these women definitely are special. 17.01.2022 Success story! Anybody that has seen Yasameen over the past 6 months will have seen the huge transformation she has undertaken towards her fitness goals. With the heart foundation stating a healthy bmi as being 18.5 -24.9, her starting weight had her sneaking in just under being medically termed "overweight" at 24.6 and with the two biggest killers of people in the western world being cardio vascular disease and cancer and being overweight being a risk factor for these her re...sults have not only made her look amazing but have improved her health at the same time. She now has a bmi that hovers around 20 and is slowly creepy up as her muscle mass slowly increases, she has followed a program supervised first by Mimi Alba and then myself following mimi's return to france and we are both very proud of her. Following an eating plan that includes 5 meals per day and includes many sources of lean protein, good fats, lots of veggies and low GI carb sources she has been able to also maintain an active social life and has been able to eat out from 1-3 nights per week while still moving forward towards her goals. Firstly focusing on fitness and weight loss her program has evolved to have a focus more towards resistance training and muscle building as the goals of fat loss have been aquired already and the long term goals of targeted muscle, bone density and strength building are now her priority. She should be very proud as she not only has a much healthier body but one that looks and feels amazing and is something that many people should aspire towards

11.01.2022 Some things happen for a reason. On the 29th of July about 5 months between these photos while visiting my Gran i found an opened envelope containing a credit card in the foyer of her building. I turned to facebook to find the owner and long story short this chance encounter took me to a woman who had only been in Australia for 1 month and was in need of some help. She was yet to experience her 1st Australian summer and we were going to make sure it was a good one. Little did... either of us know at the time but a lost credit card could turn out to be a life altering moment. Despite some protests, a little bit of kicking and screaming and thankfully some reconsidered decisions to give up (from both of us! I'm not going to lie. It has been a journey), the results speak for themselves. Today she has lost 14kg since that chance meeting. Has made fitness an integral part of her life and has managed to enjoy all the social benefits a Sydney summer has to offer. Another happy story for Team Philosophy Fitness. 10.01.2022 In a 1st for Philosophy Fitness i am very proud of my longest client and first client to train with me through her pregnancy. Although following a limited and modified regime of training due to the physical demands of carrying a child, Gill trained up until the friday before giving birth to baby Evelyn the following tuesday. I am glad Gill was my first pregnancy client as her knowledge as a Doctor gave me insights and definitely helped in my education throught this process as... it was a first for both of us. At times her training was modified on a day to day basis as the challenges of pregnancy required but overall she was sensible and continuous right until 4 days before giving birth. Her level of maintained fitness was definitely a factor in what turned out to be a comparatively quick and trouble free labour and she has been able to return to a pre pregnancy body weight and an adapted training program that will soon return to a pre pregnancy level of intensity 1 month after giving birth. Making a baby is a physically demanding process and maintaining a sensible level of health and fitness is a very valuable asset through every stage of life and especially when creating a new one. Well done Gill and Evelyn.

02.01.2022 So i have never been someone who likes to shine in successes but screw it, I am proud of this one and i am going to share (brag). For anyone that is a personal trainer or has had a personal trainer, you will all know that the "personal" part is often more than the "trainer" part. Sometime around 4 years ago i was tasked with a complimentary session for a brazilian woman who was new to the gym. i soon found out Renata Lima spoke very little english and we got through very litt...le that day and honestly i didn't think we were going to be much use to each other. Back then she was working as a waitress and didn't speak much english at work. Over the following months things definitely progressed and she was now the Australian season A overall fitness model champion and a deeper love for fitness had developed (she might have only said "i just want to tone up" and i got carried away but hey, my Portuguese isn't great). I could see that working in a pizza/pasta restaurant wasn't going to work long term for her so through Charlie and his client Elie from Health Nuts in kingsx (awesome shakes. Check them out) she did as she was advised and was now working in Health Nuts all while I sent her off to study fitness and she was still pretending she could speak some english. Well fitness qualification completed and i organised a meeting with Audrey the personal trainer manager at my gym and soon she was wearing the same uniform and working as a personal trainer. Fast forward a few years and she had also taken out an Australian Figure International title and now has a hugely successful personal training business of her own and is changing peoples lives on a daily basis. We still train once a week but now we are working on a slightly different goal. In a months time i will be traveling overseas to be a guest at her wedding. The best part about being a personal trainer is the same as the best part about Australia. All we really have is the ability to give people opportunities and if they are made of the right stuff it is amazing what they can become. I am very proud of the small part i have played and the great things she has been able to achieve. P.S. she now speaks english at a pretty ok level!
