22.01.2022 Next up in the meet the Philp’s Pipes and Power team is Sam! Sam would like to be a fire fighter when he grows up! He is 7 years old and in year 2 at school. Sams favorite things are dogs, playing LEGO, Jen teaching him things and going to school! Sam doesn’t like mean people, foods with chili or silverside! Sam would like to say ‘I like working with dad and learning how to use tools and what parts go where’
20.01.2022 Here at PPP we like to give back when we can. So for the entire month of January $5 from every hour of labor charged will go to the Diggings Rural Fire Brigade. Some of you may know that Jen (my wife) is in the RFS and has been going out to fires in between her own job, the kids and doing the invoices for PPP. So the RFS and the Diggings brigade is pretty close to our hearts. Given that these fires and the volunteers that are fighting them have been going since September this is the least we can do for these amazing people.
19.01.2022 Come and see us in uralla at the Australia Day parade! Celebrate what’s great!
17.01.2022 Tonight.... it’s meet Bella! Bella is our debt collector and assistant book keeper. Most of the invoices that get sent will come from her! Bella is 11 years old and just about to finish year 6. When she grows up she would like to be a vet and a volunteer fire fighter. Bella’s favorite things are hockey, her puppy Harry and her family. Bella really doesn’t like fruit, soccer and mean people! ... Bella would like to say ‘I love spending time with mummy working and helping with the book work.’ See more

14.01.2022 Chris has had a flat out week, I’m sure he will be glad to have a beer tonight! This week some of the jobs have included replacing a pump, fixing a roof leak, installing lights, power points, doing some water compliance assessments for rentals and starting a bathroom renovation! Chris having dual trades is really helpful in all jobs he attends.
12.01.2022 Be careful of leaks under the sink!
12.01.2022 Some days at the office are hard . We live in a beautiful part of the world!
11.01.2022 During the school holidays the boys wanted to help on a job. They dug a trench, leveled an old garden bed and helped install a tank! They worked together to problem solve and find solutions for any issues. They worked really hard and are proud of the result, they even negotiated their pays for the job based on their skills! We love teaching the kids real life skills for when they are older and looking for work. Thank you to our customers for encouraging and supporting the boys! And finally thanks to Reece Plumbing Armidale for helping with a bit of manpower when delivering the tank!
11.01.2022 We have been very busy at PPP, but thought it’s about time that everyone met the team! Meet Alex, but people call him Fred! He is Chris’s assistant at Philp’s Pipes and Power. Alex is 9 years old and in year 4 at school. When he grows up he would like to be an engineer. 06.01.2022 A before and after of a switchboard upgrade. The old switchboard only had 1 safety switch, so the house wasn’t protected. After the upgrade the house lights and power circuits are now protected by safety switches. These upgrades improve the safety of your home and aren’t as expensive as you think!
05.01.2022 We have had lots of people enquire about saving water due to the drought and water restrictions. We are happy to discuss options and ways you can use water wisely. Often fixing leaking taps or toilets is an easy way to reduce how much water is used in a house! Give us a call for a discussion about saving water!
05.01.2022 How great do these outside lights look? Perfect set up for summer entertaining! The weather is warming up and now is the best time to do some improvements to the outside of your home! Give us a call if you have some ideas and we can discuss how we can make them happen!
04.01.2022 Do your power boards look like this at Christmas?! It might be too late this year to get a better set up for your Christmas lights, but next year Chris can help and make sure you have enough power points so that power boards aren’t overloaded! Overloaded power boards can cause fires, they can also damage the power point that they are plugged into and can also void warranty on some electronics.
01.01.2022 Supporting our wonderful customers while we are in town! Today’s lunch is from Mak's Turkish Gozleme and OMG it’s yum!!!!!
01.01.2022 This is a typical day for PPP, same home, same customer but doing both plumbing and electrical work! Today Chris put a new TV outlet in a lounge room then a new toilet in! That’s the beauty of having one person licensed in both electrical and plumbing work!
01.01.2022 At PPP we have been a little quiet in facey land, that’s not because we have been quiet at work though! We haven’t had time to post things! We have had lots happening and wanted to catch you all up! We have hoodies to keep the workers warm on these cold mornings! You all may have noticed the invoices and quotes are now completely done by Bella, she is loving helping out and getting to understand the business more! Alex keeps all the tools in good condition, he loves to service them on the weekends and make sure they are all working well! Sam keeps the Ute’s toolboxes clean and organized! He likes to find out what each thing is used for while he does it too!
