15.01.2022 Landscape photographers have been social distancing for a long time. There is nothing like having a beautiful beach, desert, mountain etc all to yourself to choose whichever angle and composition before you. Oh and this is my first post in ages, what do you think? Stay safe peeps

13.01.2022 [[ WOMBAT WEEK ]] Let the good times roll..

13.01.2022 Sunset beside King Davids Peak. After waking at Solomons Jewels (see last image) we hiked onward to this stunning section of Walls of Jerusalem where I enjoyed some low cloud lit by the falling sun. Daum, I love Tasmania!

12.01.2022 Doesnt seem too Australian, but a Wombat in the snow is not uncommon on the beautiful island of Tasmania. I spent a fair bit of time chilling with this cute fella during the falling snow while he shovelled snow aside to eat button grass.

12.01.2022 I have had a deep appreciation for the beauty found in sand dunes for a number of years now. I have climbed towering dunes in the Saharan desert and emptied sand from my boots for months after visiting Western Australias dunes. Annually I head North to some of the glorious dunes found 2 hours from Perth. I am never disappointed by the simple and captivating patterns I find there. How does this image make you feel?

11.01.2022 Celebrating golden light and golden memories. Today I am 9 years married to a truly adventurous, strong and beautiful person. I am indeed a lucky man. 2020 has been a tough year and I am glad we are making our way through it together. Seeking glorious light is an obsession for landscape photographers, stumbling upon it on a scenic drive is always worth a well timed stop. Driving during some early evening light had us, where foliage allowed, glimpsing these stunning rays of sunlight. Choosing the right place to pull over proved to be difficult but eventually this scene came about. Let me know what you think and take a guess where this was shot and which focal length the image was captured at...

09.01.2022 Yeah I swam in there, how could you not!? Have you been to Karijini???? Best place in #westernaustralia

08.01.2022 Walk the line. As I was heading back from a sunset that never quite happened I noticed this deep colour in the high cloud. While listening to the @Lightminded podcast debriefing on an Antarctic adventure almost gone wrong I switched out my wide angle for a 100-400mm and locked in close for this composition. Being so dark I needed 30sec to capture the little light that remained. I just really liked the look of that fence line backlit by such deep purple. cheers @christianfletcher_gallery @petereastway and Carwyn

08.01.2022 The Green Church of Bir, Iceland. Well its actually known as the black church but Im still on that train. Have you seen the Aurora?? It comes in both Northern and Southern varieties which makes travelling to Tassie that extra bit exciting. On this particular night the viewing was so good I ended up having a chat with some dude for ages because I felt I had captured some great images. In hindsight I should have kept shooting but for anyone out there that knows me, will know I cannot resist a chat with a stranger. Even under a green Aurora lit sky

07.01.2022 A few years ago after a week in the Western Arthurs I recovered with a relaxing three days at Mt Field NP. I shot this waterfall every morning but on the third day there was light

03.01.2022 Wombat Wednesday!! Feels like forever since I have been to Tassie but here is a heart warming memory. Cute little Snow Wombat doing her thing in the blizzard.

02.01.2022 Waking up to fresh snow and falling snow made for some gorgeous conditions in Tasmanias Walls of Jerusalem National Park last month. Out with my good mate @tscharke this was the beginning of what was a beautiful day. Fortunately I packed a cheap umbrella so I could shoot in the wet weather (30sec, f8, iso320) free free to share

02.01.2022 Love the Earth.
