Weve seen many people are becoming concerned about how theyre going to get rid of excess rubbish and green waste theyve accumulated during cleanups while in isolation at home. So, weve decided to implement Throwaway Thursday! Were dedicating every Thursday for the foreseeable future to providing rubbish removal to our customers.... Were offering a flat rate service of $125 for a caged 7x5 trailer load of rubbish or green waste removal (additional charges may apply for items such as mattresses or tyres). All you need to do is contact us to book in the service, ensure your waste is all together and in an easily accessible location on your property, send us a photo of what needs to go and well take care of the rest. Youll receive an invoice via email or text message, which can be paid through online banking, so theres no need to break social distancing protocols to access our services. Bookings are extremely limited so please be quick to secure a date. Since the closure of the local waste centres to the general public, weve seen an increased number of people advertising cheap tip runs. While its understandable that people are doing it tough at the moment, dont be tempted by these dodgy operators. Please ensure that if you are using a rubbish removal service that they are insured, have an ABN and can provide you with an invoice, and understand that it is your right to ask for proof that your waste has been disposed of appropriately. A cheap $50 tip run could end up costing you thousands in fines if your rubbish ends up in the bush and can be traced back to you. Upon request we can provide a copy of the waste centre receipt or even a photo of our trailer at the centre unloading for added piece of mind. To help you out, we’ve put together our top 5 tips to avoid buyers remorse when looking for a lawn mowing contractor this Spring.... 1. Do they have insurance: As a minimum any contractor you allow to do work on your property should have Public Liability Insurance. You are well within your rights as a consumer to ask for a copy of their insurance. 2. Get a written quote: This will avoid any he said/she said dilemma once the work is complete. It is also your safeguard against added charges that you didn’t agree to. 3. Ask for an invoice: By law any contractor you pay money to must provide you with a Tax Invoice. This should clearly state the name of the business, their ABN, the date, price and some details of the work carried out. As an added safeguard you can use the online ABN Lookup to find out if your contractors supplied ABN is active and legitimate. 4. 15.01.2022 Let there be light!!! This customers clothes line hadnt seen the sun since February and was in desperate need of some warmth back in their small courtyard. We were able to completely remove two oversized, fast growing pittosporums and cut another two down to a manageable height.... 14.01.2022 This customer had a vision of a river bed through their courtyard garden. With large windows looking out into this courtyard from the main living areas inside the house, it was definitely in need of something other than the woodchip swamp that had been created by the builders. We used river pebbles for the foundation, with basalt stepping stones giving the illusion of puddles filling up in a dry river bed when it rains.... I think we nailed the brief on this one!

11.01.2022 After the kids were up early this morning playing in the snow, I thought Id have a play and test out the TORO in some harsh Tasmanian conditions. Disclaimer: We definitely do not recommend mowing your lawn in the snow or heavy frost. In these conditions the water held inside the grass blades would be frozen and instead of cleanly cutting, the mower blades would simply shatter each blade of grass.
