23.01.2022 Melbourne-based charity 5Bs Humanitarian Incorporated and ministers from Iglesia Ni Cristo (District of Australia West) joined forces in Geelong to donate food packs to dozens of Filipino international students. 100 packs were being distributed to students based in Geelong and surrounds.

Cebu Pacific Air began flights to Sydney Australia on September 9, 2014.... 2014 saw a surge in Filipino concerts and pageants in Melbourne. Returning artists included: Gary Valenciano, Side A, Aegis, Lani Misalucha. Artists performing in Melbourne for the first time were Vhong Navarro and Osang, Carol Banawa, Hotdog, Teleserye Bida (Enrique Gil, Enchong Dee, Gerard Anderson, Rayver Cruz, Xian Lim), and Ely Buendia. Mutya ng Australia bets Kim Fyfe and Pauline Edralin placed in the finals of Mutya ng Pilipinas in the Philippines. Kim Fyfe won 2nd runner up. Rob McNamara wins Mister Philippines Australia. 13.01.2022 Throwback to 2013: The Filipino community responded to the devastating calamity in the Philippines, Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) by organising around 20 fundraising events over three months. Sydney based lawyer, and Philippine Times columnist, Atty Imelda Argel received a presidential ‘Banaag’ award, presented to her by former President Benigno Aquino III. The Philippine Times began to print in full colour.... Aiza Seguerra performed live at the Ukranian Hall in Essendon, while Angeline Quinto and Jovit Balvidino performed at the Croatian Catholic Centre. In a separate show, April Boy and John Christian Regino held a concert at the Croatian Centre, as well as Paroka Ni Edgar. Vice Ganda held a show to a sell out crowd at the Dallas Brooks Centre, East Melbourne.
