12.02.2022 Some unusual weather events can affect your TV reception! During the warmer months around Australia, a natural phenomenon called atmospheric ducting can cause p...oor TV reception. This happens when distant TV signals travel much further than they normally would, causing interference to your local TV services operating on the same frequencies. Ducting is typically associated with warmer weather, most common in summer and tends to affect reception in the late afternoon and early evening. If you live in an area affected by atmospheric ducting, ask an experienced antenna installer or visit our website for tips on how to set up your antenna system. If reliable reception is not possible, viewers can apply for the government-funded Viewers Access Satellite Television (VAST) service. 07.02.2022 The picture captured by Andrew Burston shows just how challenging to access and fight a fire in this area would be. Crews are still there trying to 'contain' it overnight and with 7mm of rain forcast for tomorrow late morning we can hope and pray we get a good drenching of good ol mt gambier weather to quell the flames.
