24.01.2022 The Philippine Consulate General advocates the elimination of violence against women and girls. To address this issue, the personnel of the Philippine Consulate attended a Krav Maga self defense training sessions to fight VAW. The PH government continues to raise awareness against gender-based violence and ensures the protection of the rights of women and girls as enshrined in the 1987 Philippine Constitution.

15.01.2022 #Repost @dfaphl with @make_repost Today, 25 November, is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women by virtue of UNGA Resolution 54/134 adopted in 2000. Every year since, this day has been commemorated throughout the world to increase public awareness of violence against women. This year’s theme, Orange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent, Collect! seeks to translate campaign efforts into concrete demand for collective action.... As the Philippines also starts to observe the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children today, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), along with its Embassies and Consulates, joins the United Nations in its call for intensification of efforts towards addressing this persistent issue and hopes that collective action, starting from the individual, family, to community, would usher a world free of gender-based violence.
