24.01.2022 The river systems around Burketown in the lower Gulf or Carpentaria looks like veins in the landscape. They look so spectacular from the air and we were lucky enough to fly over it in a chopper recently when we were up in the area filming with Yagurli Tours . The more we visit the more I uncover and learn. From the ground it can see a bit arid but when you go exploring there is so much to find. Definitely helps having a chopper. Or a hot air balloon which they will be kicking off next year. These photos have a slight edit on them to show some more detail in the flow of the water and river systems but when I was shooting with the canon and a CPL the water was really green without the glare. Definitely worth paying a visit to the area and seeing it for yourself. Visit Queensland, Australia Australia.com Explore Tropical North Queensland

23.01.2022 So that's a wrap!! It's been amazing hanging with the Visit Queensland, Australia team and creators for a few days at Elysian in the Whitsundays!! A cool group of creative crew to share and learn from.

22.01.2022 While I was at Elysian Retreat with the Visit Queensland, Australia crew I thought I'd take the night lapse mode on the new GoPro #hero9 for a run. I wanted the milky way but we had a near full moon so I got that instead with a palm tree in it. I put it on pro tune and played with the settings a bit but can't wait to give it a go when Milky Way season kicks in! #thisisqueensland

20.01.2022 Thanks Australia.com for the Instgram love Repost: If you’re looking for us, we’ll be paddling through an ancient gorge in outback QLD @phlipvids was blown away by the beauty of @cobboldgorge, a spectacular sandstone chasm deep in the heart of Visit Queensland, Australia Gulf Savannah region. This secluded spot is a refreshing place to spend a few days if you’re planning a driving holiday across Australia’s north once travel permits. 18.01.2022 At the end of 2020 we had multiple reef trips between Mission Beach and the Northern GBR. In 90% of cases the reef we dived and snorkelled on were so stunning and the coral cover was mind blowing. That's not to say we don't have to look after it and protect it but I am so happy to see it looking so good. This particular bommie we snorkelled over on a trip to Ribbons 9.5 with Coral Expeditions and we saw endless coral gardens and marine life. Looking forward to spending more time on the Great Barrier Reef in 2021 and working with passionate people, businesses and organisations who are helping to look after it for future generations! #ExploreTNQ Explore Tropical North Queensland #thisisqueensland Visit Queensland, Australia #summergreat Australia.com Great Barrier Reef Marine Park

17.01.2022 We have visited 4 different reef sites over the past 10 days between Cairns and Port Douglas and were blown away by the reef cover we saw! This was shot while we were out with Passions of Paradise Great Barrier Reef Day Tour - Cairns Australia of #Cairns but we also saw amazing reef off Port Douglas and also at Green Island. Do yourself a favour and get out to the reef and check it out with one of our local operators. Plenty of great locals prices out there too! In this shot is Liam Berghan. Not too many years ago he wasn't a big fan of water at all but now he is more fish than man. The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park has that effect on a lot of us! 16.01.2022 It was so awesome to be a part of filming and photographing this amazing new experience in North Queensland!! Last week history was made when Yagurli Tours in partnership with Balloon Aloft Australia conducted a weeklong series of successful balloon flight trials over the tiny gulf town, the spectacular salt pans and breathtaking countryside that surrounds. The astonishing landscape stretches out for hundreds of kilometres in all directions with Balloon flights offering awe i...nspiring 360 degree vistas over this incredible and unique countryside. Planning is well underway to offer this incredible experience for a limited number of both morning and evening flights through the 3 month winter season of 2021. It represents a rare opportunity to capture the spectacular sunrises and sunsets over this remarkable and unique landscape. Who would love to experience this? 14.01.2022 I was going through photos last night and I have so many shots of marine life. Not surprising really given that filming and taking photos underwater is one of my favorite things to do. What it also made me realise is how much I have missed the marine life while Covid has been happening. I have had quite a few reef trips and marine experiences in this time but a lot less than previous years. I have missed swimming with turtles, sharks, and of course our Maori Wrass mates like Wally in this shot with Down Under Cruise and Dive I have a few big reef shoots coming up soon but this reminded me of how much I miss exploring the marine world on a regular basis. Time to get back in the water!! Visit Queensland, Australia Explore Tropical North Queensland #ExploreTNQ #thisisqueensland #seeAustralia

13.01.2022 This year's first mission to Barron Falls we had a little helper. I have been coming to the falls since I was a kid and it's great to be able to bring our mini adventurer along now. He loves it! (And doesn't have a choice ) Have an epic 2021 and hopefully our paths cross soon

12.01.2022 On our last visit to Agnes Waters and 1770, we jumped aboard 1770reef to head out and explore Lady Musgrave Island. It was a first for us and we really enjoyed it. Both the island and the ocean were full of life and colour with thousands of Turns nesting on the island and so many turtles swimming around. The soft corals were stunning and the ocean was this beautiful aqua blue colour. If you're lucky and pick the right day, you may even see all of the famous Great Barrier Reef Great 8! 10.01.2022 A little flashback to one of my favourite trips if 2019! The Master Reef Guides program is what happens when you get a lot of very passionate and highly skilled people together who love the reef and add the skills and tourism development knowledge of Visit Queensland, Australia. These shots are from the 4th cohort onboard Coral Expeditions and it was inspiring to be a part of. Some of these photos ended up in an Australian Geographic magazine which was a proud moment. The Mas...ter Reef Guides are true story tellers of the reef and their stories are backed up with scientific fact, traditional land owner knowledge and a whole lot of passion. If you get the chance to do a trip with a Master Reef Guide it will be well worth it. They are working onboard quite a lot of the reef experiences and islands up and down the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Australia.com Explore Tropical North Queensland

10.01.2022 It's very rare that I don't get rewarded for getting up at sunrise. This shot is at Heales Lookout on the Gillies Range road on the way to the Atherton Tablelands. As if there aren't enough mind blowing spots in the tablelands already but we also get views like this on the way! These moments in life are what we live for. 09.01.2022 I put the new GoPro #hero9 on a hunting spear while out with Whitsunday Paradise Explorer. Soon after this I actually speared a whiting! The first time I have ever got a fish with a hunting spear. So stoked! Loved our time in the Visit Whitsundays, Queensland, Australia hanging out with the Visit Queensland, Australia crew and creators

09.01.2022 No matter how many times I go out to Undara Experience I always see something new and feel so welcome. My recent trip was no different. After a day of exploring the Undara Lava Tubes I asked Bram Collins If there was another place I could catch a sunrise from in the morning. We grabbed a couple of cold beers and he took me out to this escarpment overlooking Undara. We sat here under the milky way and he told me stories about the area, his experiences and a lot more hilarious... and inspiring yarns. Over an hour past and just before we left I snapped a quick shot of him looking out into the milky way. He's never short of a great yarn and is one of the most hospitable people I know. Thanks for always making the moments more epic and sharing the laughs mate. We'll bring the guitar out there next time! #ExploreTNQ #thisisqueensland #seeAustralia Visit Queensland, Australia

05.01.2022 Last week the Visit Queensland, Australia creators converged on a hidden gem and took over Elysian retreat in the Whitsundays! With more hammocks than I can poke a hammock at and all sorts of activities and different ways to relax we all made the most of our time here. Obviously we were creating content during the trip but we also swam, kayaked, snorkelled, ate ( The most delicious food ) and experienced stunning sunrises and sunsets. We learned a lot from the creators and T...EQ team during the workshops too. We also took time to head out on a cultural adventure, snorkel on the reef and explore with Whitsunday Paradise Explorer. Peter from Whitsunday Paradise Explorer took us on an amazing cultural experience and taught us about some of the indigenous history of the area. Loved our time here and the team on the island made it a luxury trip but also felt like a place we can truly relax. Definitely put this place on your list in the Whitsundays! 02.01.2022 Hoping to spend more time on the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park in 2021 filming and doing what we can to help promote tourism and conservation. After 'reflecting' on 2020 and how many amazing locations we ot to visit we just want to do more! Also een to spend more time with people, businesses and organisations who care about the reef and it's future. Like the Master Reef Guides crew who have a great balance of tourism and education!
