23.01.2022 SPINE STRETCH Imagine yourself stacked up again an imaginary wall, lift yourself up off your rib cage scooping through your lower belly to peel yourself forward towards your toes, scoop though the lower belly as you start to put each vertebra of your spine back up against the imaginary wall

18.01.2022 THE SAW This is such a great rotation exercise of the upper body but also a lovely stretch if you are tight through your hamstrings! Inhale, exhale begin to find spine twist rotation of the upper body, breathe in, and exhale find the flexion of the spine as you scoop the lower belly forward and saw your mini toe off... NOTE: ensure you are lifting up through your lower abdominals and off of your rip cage to ensure we are gaining rotation from the ribs rather then the pelvis moving us around #pilates #athomeexercise #matwork #mat #echtapparel

11.01.2022 Thought Id update you on the things I have been doing to keep me sane through this tough period of time! And if your still reading Id like to share with you my experience of Pilates. Not only has it changed my life it has improved my body posture and performance in my eventing competitions. When I started riding and as time went on I became very crooked and couldnt even sit up straight properly on a horse due to the lumbar lordosis in my back but also being someone who is... very weak through their hips and trying to fix myself and sit upright was the biggest challenge of all! Since I have started Pilates I am now able to just sit up their with no hassle at all and can focus on riding my horses and not have to also worry about my positioning. 10.01.2022 SEMI-CIRCLE This is an amazing spinal articulation exercise on the reformer! If you look closely this exercise is exactly the same as the pelvic curl on the mat just on the reformer with some extension and allowing you to articulate your spine that little bit further!

07.01.2022 *THE PELVIC CURL, this exercises is a perfect exercises for strengthening through the hamstrings and the glutes if done correctly. When you are pealing yourself up into your pelvic curl ensure you have imprinted the pelvis first by scooping through the lower belly. As your pealing your spine up off the mat feel weight pressing through the backs of the heels to ensure the back of the legs are on and working rather than the front leg muscles. And lastly as you begin to peel the... spine back down to the mat keep the imprint of your lower belly as you start to articulate your spine down one vertebrae at a time!* ALSO dont forget to breathe! 01.01.2022 ROLL OVER This is an intermediate exercise that is amazing for spinal flexion requiring lots of control! If you give this exercise a go breathe in to raise legs legs towards the ceiling and lift yourself up and over your body by scooping through your lower belly. As you begin to peel your spine back down think about your pelvic curl where you hold the imprint of your lower belly and articulate each vertebrae of your spine down one at a time. Lastly once you are down circle the legs and begin again
