24.01.2022 In our service user meeting this morning we took time to share and promote Take Time To Talk day, this is encourage the fact that its ok to talk about our mental health.

21.01.2022 7 of our swimmers (Sandra Armstrong, Gary Bishop, Dawn Flockton, Helen Knox, Christopher McDonnel, Paul O’ Neil, and Daniel Wood) travelled to Harrogate for the... Special Olympics Yorkshire and Humberside swimming competition on Saturday 9th November 2019. Things went ‘swimmingly’ well indeed, with every single one of our swimmers featuring amongst the medals in a competition which is always of a high standard. Naturally, the whole team were very supportive of each other during the day and very proud of their accomplishments. In total, we won 11 medals (4 Gold, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze). Our individual results were: Sandra Armstrong 1 Silver & 1 Bronze medal Gary Bishop 1 Silver medal and 1 fourth place Dawn Flockton 1 Gold medal and 1 fourth place Helen Knox 1 Gold & 1 Silver medal Christopher McDonnel 1 Gold medal (Christopher also achieved a personal best in a fifth place finish within a race) Paul O’ Neil 2 Silver medals Daniel Wood 1 Gold and 1 Bronze medal A fabulous return from our athletes who have rounded off our 2019 swimming season in style.
