23.01.2022 The hardest aspects about repairing or modifying a completed car's writing harness is space, neatness, durability and accessibility. Sometimes I need to add a few extra circuits to a preexisting wiring harness, but I can't drill the body for mounting, and access is an issue. Sadly, I don't get to be as neat as I like either, but as long as it's accessible and durable, I'll have to be content.

05.01.2022 There's not a lot of room to run a Holley HP Pro Series mechanical fuel pump on a 350 SBC in a HQ. Rotating the bottom section of the pump only created further clearance issues, and the Holley pump runs an unusual fitting thread. A few hand crafted banjo bolts later, and now we can play.

04.01.2022 When you work with talented people, you get to see some unique items. This HQ GTS dash fascia now has a carbon fibre fascia, complete with original style labeling. Best I be extra careful installing this!

03.01.2022 This is a condensed timeline of this hk ute build. It came into the workshop with body and paint done, although on closer inspection we discovered the floor and... chassis rails were rusted badly and had poor repairs previously. Without damaging ANY bodywork or paint, we replaced the floor pans from front to rear, sill to sill. Whilst there we decided to pull the Y frames and address those too. This is when it escalated to the owner opting to smooth the engine bay, and mini tub the rear with our one piece handmade tub sections. From there we proceded to build the rest of the ute, with every process performed in house bar engine bay final paint and exhaust. RPM's list of services on this build included: - rust repair and fabrication, - paint preparation, - prep, deburring, and painting of engine and components, - suspension detail and assembly - brake system design, plumbing and assembly - fuel system including remote mount hidden filler - wiring system design and instalation - complete interior - stainless mould repair and polish - chrome work repair and polish pre chroming - complete vehicle assembly. - thorough 4 stage paint correction post build and full vehicle detail. This was a fun build made even better by a fantastic owner, thanks Chris for allowing our team to build your dream ute!
