08.01.2022 14th March 2020 Dear Clubs, Members, Volunteers and Supporters Re: Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update & HDNA Saturday Junior Competitions Hinterland District Netball Association has made the decision to cancel the forthcoming March Past parade and postpone the commencement of all Saturday competitions including, NetSetGo 5-6 years and 7-10 years programs and Saturday Junior 11-17 years competition, effective immediately. ... All Saturday competitions above will recommence on Saturday 9th May. Under advice from the Australian Federal Government, from Monday 16th March there is a restriction on all public gatherings of 500 people or more. HDNA Saturday Junior Competition exceeds this number significantly. We have made this decision in an effort to protect our netball community as our priority is the health and wellbeing of our community, players, umpires and committee as COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) becomes an increasing public health concern. Furthermore, the HDNA NetSetGo 7-10 years Carnival on Sunday 17th May has also been postponed. This decision was not taken lightly but we believe it is the right thing to do. We appreciate you may have unanswered questions at this time. We will continue to provide our members with further updates and advice as this comes to hand and will communicate all information via email, our website and social media pages. Please note, HDNA netball courts remain open for all Club training during the week at their own discretion. For all training details and updates please refer to your Club. In the meantime, the Executive Committee will continue to work and prepare for the season ahead amongst the current landscape. Additional information concerning our Monday Night Competition and HDNA Representative Competitions will be released in a separate statement. Your understanding and support is appreciated during this unfortunate period. Should you have any other concerns please feel free to connect with us. Yours sincerely, Kimberley Kimberley Seymour HDNA President See more

06.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE #9 Our pathway back to the courts We know there is a lot of excitement in our community following the government announcement last week and our pending return to the courts. Netball Queensland today took part in an Industry update from the Department of Sport and Recreation about how the timeline for easing restrictions in Queensland relates specifically to the resumption of organised sport across the State. The Department of Sport and Recreation has confirmed... that stage 1 of the State Government recovery plan commencing this Friday 15 May, does not include the resumption of any organised sporting activity, including training or playing. The outdoor, non-contact activity gatherings of up to 10 people permitted by the Government in stage 1 is intended for families, groups of friends or members of the same household. The current direction from the Department of Sport and Recreation, under the guidance of Queensland Health, would see training activity resume under strict guidelines at the beginning of stage 2, currently scheduled for Friday 12 June. The Netball Queensland return to play working group is working through this detail and will be providing a toolkit of resources to our community so you are equipped when the time comes. Netball Queensland was also informed that Queensland Police will be actively monitoring community sporting venues from this weekend, to ensure members of the public are adhering to the State Government’s stage 1 guidelines. Your safety and the safety of our community is our highest priority, so it is important you continue to adhere to the guidelines of the relevant current stage of the recovery plan until Netball Queensland receives approval from the Department of Sport and Recreation to progress to the next stage, and provides formal notification to Associations and Clubs of that approval. Breaches of this may not be covered by insurance policies. Returning to the courts as soon as it is safe and possible to do so remains the absolute priority for Netball Queensland and we will continue to work diligently with the State Government toward this goal. The Netball Queensland Board will convene in the first week of June with further updates to be provided following that meeting, including an endorsed set of Netball Community Guidelines detailing the minimum requirements for the resumption of full netball activity as we progress through the stages. Once again, we thank our netball community for your help in flattening the curve so we can get back to the courts as soon as possible. stay safe hopefully we will see you all sonn See more
