24.01.2022 Congratulations to our newest solo flyer!! Marius recently completed his first solo and has already been racing around the circuit many more times! Well done Marius, everyone at the aero club is extremely proud of you- you’ve worked very hard!

23.01.2022 PAC members Jack and Jesse enjoyed the beautiful weather today by taking a trip down to Moruya! The airport’s position on the coastline means a quick trip to the beach was a mandatory pit stop #phoenixaeroclub

23.01.2022 A rare opportunity for our little bug smashers to mix with the big jets! Shane, Jack, and Keshav took our Cessna UWD into Sydney Airport this afternoon... What a unique experience!

21.01.2022 Our popular Visual Flight Rules guide (VFRG) will soon be available as a PDF download. Keep an eye out on our social medica channels or on the CASA website for more info: https://bit.ly/casa-vfrg You can still buy the print version from our online store: https://bit.ly/casa-store-vfrg

19.01.2022 Congratulations to Jacob who completed his first solo flight last week in TMM! We’re very proud to have yet another smiling face to show off on our student wall of achievement- great work Jacob!

18.01.2022 Both of our club aircraft in the 24 run-up bay, about to get some quick flying in before the rain comes back!

13.01.2022 Sadly I am writing to advise that Senja Robey passed away on 14 April, 2020, at home, at the age of 93 years. Senja had been a former long-serving Instructor and Chief Flying Instructor of #PhoenixAeroClub and was still an active Committee Member and Life Member of the Club. Senja was the wife of the late Keith Robey MBE, who also served as Chief Flying Instructor at Phoenix Aero Club, and the mother of former Instructor, Chris Robey. Sue Robey, her daughter, has advised th...at because of the current restrictions there will be a private cremation now but when all this is over there will be a memorial service to celebrate her wonderful life. Senja was inducted into the #AustralianAviationHallofFame in 2014, acknowledging her outstanding contribution to Australian aviation. We in the aviation world (and especially the hundreds of students she taught to fly) and the Club have benefitted immeasurably from having her in our lives.

08.01.2022 A belated congratulations to our latest solo flyer! Brett completed his first solo circuit on the 28th of October. We’re ready to watch you knock down your next milestone Brett!

07.01.2022 Just a reminder that our BBQ tomorrow (Sunday 12th) will still be going ahead, rain, hail, or shine! If there is no flying on due to the rain forecast, it's the perfect opportunity to spend some time brushing up on your theory study, with other students hanging around who might be able to answer any questions you're currently stumped by! If you are a prospective student coming to check out the club for the first time, it's still a great chance to see our clubhouse, meet our members and instructors, and schedule in your first lesson!

05.01.2022 We are very excited to announce that will once again be holding a monthly social day on the second Sunday of each month, starting with Sunday July 12th at 0900. This day serves as an open day to welcome anyone who might be interested in joining our club and learning to fly to come check us out, and for club members to come together as a social group over a sausage sizzle! Resuming our social day in July will give us enough time to gauge the success of the recent June 1st c...hanges in NSW lockdown restrictions, and to see whether it is appropriate for us to hold a planned social gathering which involves serving lunch. We hope to see as many of you as possible there; we are fortunate to have such a large clubhouse and outdoor verandah so we do not foresee it being an issue with adhering to the 1.5m social distancing requirements. We will continue to monitor the NSW COVID-19 lockdown restrictions and see how the changes affect us. We have ample supplies of hand sanitiser/surface spray/sterilising wipes and will operate in the safest manner possible. See more

04.01.2022 Congratulations Keshav on your first solo flight today! In the clubhouse we were all very excited to see your instructor jump out and you taxi away by yourself back towards the runway!
