It’s common nowadays to see many coaches try to complicate t...raining & come out with crazy variations (and sure they make for quick likes on social media)...however I find its often the ability to master the basics that truly being an athlete to the top of their game and keep them there for a long time. . Remember, not everyone needs to perform the exact same technique (high bar back squat for example). It's no longer just a 'thought' but now in our material rea...lm, it's in front of you, you can see it. Weather is be a fitness goal, life goal or work goal. Write it down, make a plan to achieve that goal. Don't just leave it as a thought. We will be carrying our goals/dreams to the peak of the tallest mountain in Cairns this Saturday :D

11.01.2022 Tonight's bootcamp we had a new comer Kimberly, fresh to the WRX/Bootcamp environment and learning all the exercises incorporated with it. Today we learnt how t...o do an RDL and bent over row. Lastly to finish Bootcamp circuits. Everyone loves the HIIT. Pup participated at the end too, too funny.

10.01.2022 Bran new shirts to represent the growth of a family. Blood sweat and tears unites people, those with goals so strong become unstoppable!! We are all in this tog...ether, I have not done this alone, we Phoenixes support one another. Why we have 'phoenix family' and 'respect' on our shoulders. I am not the only phoenix trainer anymore, my apprentice has been promoted to trainer Shaun Hansen with the completion of his cert 3 in fitness/completing his cert 4. Soon he will be hosting his own classes like I am right now with the Bootcamps. *They grow up so fast, so proud ( ) Alastair Cunningham is my new apprentice studying his cert 3 in fitness, I will be his mentor and teacher. ( _) time to teach what it means to be a trainer, although he has already lost 30 plus kg himself, he knows the pains and struggles. I'm happy I've found like minded people who are not 'just trainers', people who have experienced the pain on their fitness journey to reap the rewards. Both I call my friends, I would have never met them if I didn't come to Anytime fitness. My method of madness is spreading, I had a dream of world domination, I joke about it, but I want my message to spead. 09.01.2022 If anyone else is keen to learn the ways of the weight lifting comps, come down to this free observing event this Saturday. My Phoenixes will be attending and a...nyone from Anytime is also welcome to join us. We will be organising a carpool from Woree Anytime, observers are welcome to come and go at anytime during the events time, there will be a coffee/food van there. Some have heard me talking about watching that bar bend during a lift. You will know exactly what I mean if you attend this comp and watch pros lift. This will be good exposure to anyone interested in competing in the future.

06.01.2022 For those that want an awesome group training experience, I highly recommend you join in on our Bootcamp!! Today's workout incorporated a 20 minute strength sec...tion which was split between bench press and deadlift movements. Giving you a chance to learn barbell movements in a safe environment with experienced trainers. To finish off with bang, a 10 minute AMRAP *as many rounds as possible*. The aim of an AMRAP is stamina and endurance, you don't want to burn out in the first 60 seconds but be consistent through the whole 10 minutes. There is no minimum or maximum sets, you move at your own pace and how hard you want to push yourself. That's the beauty of it, it is built to everyone's fitness level. Exercises varying using equipment like; . Barbells . Battle ropes . Tyres . Free weights . Your own body! . Suspension ropes Learn to do things you never thought you could! Workout for 30 minutes total :D Meet new friends, motivate each other to reach new peaks of fitness! Friday's 5.30 pm literally just down the street from woree anytime. In the near future there will be more classes hosted by Shaun Hansen so keen an eye out for more info.
