24.01.2022 INTERNATIONAL ORDER OF THE RAINBOW FOR GIRLS NEW SOUTH WALES & SOUTH AUSTRALIA 26th April 2020 Dear Sisters, Brothers & Friends,... Today is the 90th Anniversary of Rainbow in Australia. On this day in 1930 Sydney Assembly No.1 was Constituted in the city of Sydney. Mrs Frances Livermore saw Rainbow on a visit to America and on her return sought the help of Croydon Park Eastern Star Chapter to be the Sponsoring Body. Over the years there have been 77 assemblies throughout New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. Sadly our official celebration for 16th May, 2020 has had to be postponed. This has caused many of us much heartache as we have spent many hours researching Rainbow History and looking to make contact with past members. We believe we found the oldest Past Rainbow Girl. Mrs Betty King now aged 92 and residing at the John Paul Village at Heathcote. Sister Betty and her three sisters Dorothy (PMA Royal-Kogarah), Shirely and Brenda were founder members of Illawarra - St. George Assembly No.3 and her daughter Margaret (King) Smith is a Past Worthy Advisor of Royal Kogarah Assembly No. 45. We have a Facebook page for the 90th so please check in and leave a comment. There is also a Facebook page for Rainbow Girls of NSW & SA and a Webpage. If you have any old photos or stories you would like to share please contact us: [email protected] With the uncertainty of when things will return to any form or normal we are unable to set a new date but as soon as we are able to we will re-book the Grand Lodge in Adelaide and advise everyone so that you have plenty of time to make travel plans. Yours in Rainbow service Kimberley Sommers CHAIRPERSON Felicia Rodeghiero CO-ORDINATOR

23.01.2022 "Today marks an important day for the Order of DeMolay, as it is the day that our Founder, Frank S. Land, passed away. "Dad" Land created this great youth organization in 1919, and we are still going strong to this day, celebrating more than 100 years of existence. His vision for a young men's youth organization has turned into a program that has helped young men grow into better leaders all over the world. In DeMolay, November 8th is also known as "Frank S. Land Memorial Da...y," an obligatory day designed for us to pay tribute to "Dad" Land for giving us this incredible group to be proud of. Chapters are asked to celebrate in two ways: hold a program in memory of "Dad" Land, and donate money to a local or Masonic charity in memory of "Dad" Land. As a Chevalier, this date also is the day that we promised: "To hold communion with a fellow Chevalier, or Court of Chevaliers, wherever I may be, and should this be impossible, I will break bread with an active DeMolay or a young man in his teens." Chevaliers all over the world will get together to pay tribute to "Dad" Land. Some Chevalier Courts choose to observe this on a day closest to November 8th. So thank you "Dad" Land, for giving us a group of friends that we can rely on, a Masonic family that is always there for us, and an extended family that cares about us the same way that our real families do. We salute you on this very special 8th of November."

22.01.2022 Happy International Youth Day 2020 to all, especially our DeMolays, Rainbows and Jobies!!! https://www.un.org/development/desa/youth/iyd2020.html

08.01.2022 Regular Chapter Face to Face Meeting CANCELLED for this Sunday, 27 June.

04.01.2022 The Order of DeMolay was officially launched on March 24, 1919. During the next few years, however, the date of March 18 the anniversary of the death of Jacques DeMolay himself came to be more frequently used to commemorate the founding of the new organization. The Order of DeMolay was founded by Frank S. Land in Kansas City, Missouri as a fraternal organization for boys. Although not a Masonic organization, it is considered a part of the general family of Masonic and associated organizations. Membership is open to young men aged 12-21, of good moral character, who acknowledge a higher spiritual power, without necessarily having any family relation to an actual Mason.
