23.01.2022 Mental health, healing and recovery all take time. It is something that needs to be worked on everyday. When someone is struggling and going through a difficult period in their life, support is essential. Supporting someone doesn't need to be difficult or complicated. It is the small things in life than can make the biggest different.



15.01.2022 ‘Mental Health is just as important as physical health’. I recently attended a Mental Health First Aid Course. This was something I did for a couple of reasons: I wanted to learn how to help others who may be experiencing their own mental health issues and be able to recognise the signs when someone is not ok... I don’t want others to experience and feel what I did when I had depression It was interesting to see what mental health looks like from another perspective. While not all signs are obvious, knowing what to look for can make a big difference to someone’s life. There are many ways in which you can help someone. The course I attended looks at the different types of mental health issues, how to recognise the signs that something is not ok with someone and how to approach them and start a conversation. Mental health can affect anyone. The more we talk about mental health, the easier it will be for people to get help and for others to feel more comfortable supporting a family member or friend experiencing mental health issues. It’s time to get rid of the stigma associated with mental health so that more people are able to reach out and ask for help without being judged or feeling ashamed and alone.
