25.01.2022 The wonderful people at Powerdiary are soon allowing telehealth to integrate with my diary. Whilst most of our appointments still require you to attend due to the hands on nature of our service there are some review appointments which can be managed by telehealth. It also allows me to see you if you are isolated and unable to attend. I can look at your feet in a secure site and advise if further care is required. I also have now been endorsed by AHPRA to prescribe endorsed m...edicines. We can send a prescription to your chemist who may be able to deliver. This crisis is changing the way every one works and this allows a way of using innovative technology to continue the important preventative role Podiatry has. Podiatry is one profession that focusses on prevention and in these times keeping our patients out of hospitals and GP clinics is our priority. Again if you are unwell please call Julie to discuss your attendance, we can either reschedule or book a telehealth appointment once it is up and running. Keep safe everyone. See more

19.01.2022 Would you recognise your feet in a lineup? Would you recognise your loved ones feet in a lineup? Today, on World Diabetes Day, 12 Australians will undergo a dia...betes-related amputation. Thats 12 too many. And men are three times more likely to suffer from diabetic foot disease than women. So this World Diabetes Day, were focusing on the important role families play in helping those loved and sometimes stubborn ones living with or at-risk of developing diabetic foot disease. So the big question for all the Aussie blokes out there living with diabetes ishow well do you know your feet? https://www.diabeticfootaustralia.org/world-diabetes-day-2/ #WDD2018 #mydiabetesfamily #4400reasons #letspreventamputations #dfaguidesyouthrough #endingavoidableamputations Australian Podiatry Association Australian Podiatry Associations SA WA TAS Australian Podiatry Association - NSW & ACT Office Australian Podiatry Association (Qld) Inc Advanced Practicing Podiatrists - High Risk Foot Group National Association of Diabetes Centres Wound Innovations Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons Regional Wounds Victoria

13.01.2022 One of the research projects, Podiatrist, Julie Goodall is involved in. So many patients with Diabetes suffer foot complications, Julie has a long association with treating diabetic wounds however prevention is so much better than the cure. It is important to have regular Podiatry screening of your feet to help recognise the warning signs before it is too late.

12.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Podiatry is considered an essential service, Phoenix Podiatry will remain OPEN. Podiatrists ease the burden on Doctors and hospitals by assessing and treating foot conditions. We provide preventative care for those at risk of catastrophic foot and lower limb issues leading to hospital admission and amputation. We ask however if you are unwell, have a cough, cold, sniffle, fever or even feel like you may be developing any of the above, also if you have trav...elled interstate or outside of Australia in the last 14 days that you phone to reschedule your appointment. Julie will be doing the same if/when she becomes unwell. Phoenix Podiatry will do everything in its Small Business capacity to assist the community during this incredibly difficult time. Stay safe everyone!
