01.01.2022 Morning tea on Wednesday 17th August at Old Guildford Public School What an amazing morning tea hosted by the school to welcome our sponsors and say thank you for providing the Counting for Life program. Sponsors were warmly welcomed at the gate by students and escorted to the library. The school captains and the principal, Kay Campbell, thanked all the sponsors and provided general information about the school and the impact and importance of the program. We were then buddie...d up with students who toke us on a tour of the school vegetable garden and a science class. The school has a wonderful kitchen where the students learn how to prepare meals and us produce from the garden. The students and teaching staff had prepared an amazing morning tea. Sponsors had the opportunity to talk to staff, students and children participating in the program. This was a wonderful start to the program and we are looking forward to the graduation event! A word from our volunteers The program is going well and all children have engaged and particular enjoy the games and the worded questions. Counting money is also one that some children want to focus on as it comes up in one of the games. The children seem to really enjoy coming to the sessions and a few of the children told the coordinator how much they have found it helpful and they looked forward to the sessions. In the feedback sections after each week, the children mostly say "I enjoyed everything".
